★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New to area but it won't be our last shopping experience at this store! Visited this store on a Monday morning...by experience not always a good time to shop. Not this store! Upbeat, smiling employees at every corner you turned. Shout out to XMas section employee (think his name was Glen) the young lad in flooring with the cheerful colored hair (loved it) and Polly at checkout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly helpful. I needed a specific type of product and was referred to three specialty building supply shops who came up empty handed. I went here and they had multiple options right away. Normally I haven't had too much success with Rona but these guys were really checked out. I found a few things more expensive than competitors but the staff were fast and helpful. I ended up making my purchase here and plan to go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had the opportunity to deal with Stephen Scanlon at this store. I had an issue with a product and was dealing with the manufacturer, but the manufacturer asked me to have the store manager (Steve) to assist me.
He was amazing. I have had to deal with managers in the past, but rarely have I had such a fantastic experience.
I am sure he is put in some tough positions (you know, "let me speak to the manager " type stuff, lol)
and I bet that can wear a person down after a while.
But none of that showed here...he was understanding, kind and helpful. He simply cared!
We resolved the issue and I can't be more pleased.
To any Rona execs out there reading this: you have a winner here. Look after him or someone else will. Just don't move him out of Kingston, we need him in Rona here in town!
Thanks Stephen, you made part of a tough year much easier for myself and my family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would leave a "no star" review if possible. I picked Rona to buy my flooring and baseboards from because they deliver AND install. Not once, over the last 2 months, did anyone from Rona mention that they only do curbside delivery. Not til the delivery truck was outside my building was I informed of this. Unable to move 2 pallets of flooring into my unit alone, I had to refuse delivery and went in to Rona to cancel my order and install for a refund. The customer service people were more than accommodating and got me all my money back and we even had a few laughs during the whole process. Apparently, not mentioning to customers that there's no inside delivery is an "issue they're trying to resolve". I went to a local flooring place who were extremely helpful and I gave them my business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an absolute pleasure shopping for plants and flowers at Rona. Two ladies (wish I had gotten their names) helped us a lot with their expertise and their friendly manner was most appreciated. Employees like these keep you coming back. I hope they are acknowledged by management. The gentleman who loaded soil etc into the car was also very friendly and efficient. The cashier, too, was friendly and efficient. Not sure if my experience was because of effective training or if you just happened to hire the perfect employees. I can tell you that a pleasurable experience motivates me to return.
