★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just bought a brand new pool table from James at the Calgary store for the family for christmas. I shopped around at the other stores in calgary before i came to recreation world. It was an easy decision to buy from James once i met him. He was so knowledgable compared to his competitors and really took his time helping me find exactly what i was looking for. I bought a beautiful olhausen table that my family and i love!! Thank you james and staff for your courteous service. I will definatley be back for all my future man cave purchases.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice store, decent selection, decent products. However the guy running the show takes no time at all in making you feel stupid for what you want by belittling you and trying to tell you what you should want, and why what you thought you wanted is wrong. I originally stopped into this store when the owner was away on holidays and his installer was looking after the store. I wish the installer was the one I dealt with the second time round, he was friendly, understanding, and all round just a great person to talk too. I went in today two buy some cue sticks and some other pool table accessories, The owner came over when I was looking at some cue sticks, I pointed out they were warped and he decided to tell me indirectly and in the most belittling way possible how I was just checking them wrong and just because it was warped it wouldn't affect how it hit the ball (regardless of whether or not this is true, Im spending $150-$250+ on a cue stick it better be straight at least till I get home with it) He then decided to tell me it was likely they were all warped because none of his heating units on the building had humidifiers! are you kidding me? your selling multi thousand dollar (up to $15000) hardwood tables and you not even trying to control the humidity at all?. All in all I went in with the intention of spending around $400-$500 today and left without spending a penny, and sadly I will not be returning after this experience.

The service was amazing, Jay took the time and showed us the different models and helped us decide which table would be right for us. He was very informative and patient with all our questions. We would recommend Recreation World to anyone looking for a pool table or other gaming tables and furniture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a pool table off Kijiji and contacted these folks to get it moved. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful. I also emailed them to ask about costs for re-felting and re-cushioning the table, and had very quick and detailed responses and some good advice. The movers were friendly and professional, and much quicker than quoted. Plus, the job and quoted work for renovating the table was very reasonable. I have never before had such a consistently high level of service across the board - thanks Recreation World! I would recommend 110%.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great help to me when I was purchasing a used table. I called Rec world to get an idea of moving cost and also asked them about the table I was considering to purchase used. The first table had potential but was not great once I saw in person, so I kept up my search. In the meantime, James called me up with leads on some tables he found as well as looking into the specific Kijiji ads that I found. He gave me more info on the table quality and opinion on price. Also gave me tips on what to look for when I viewed the tables in person. In the end I found a great Black Crown table for a great price on Kijiji. Rec world moved the table for me quickly and did a stellar job setting it up. I really appreciate all the help James and team!
P.S. I never write reviews, but I felt that James and team deserved a thumps up since they went so far out of their way for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a pool table from them. They provided many suggestions to help me in selecting the table I wanted (using their past experience - they provided pro and con of the options). My home renovation was delayed so the table was sitting in their warehouse for 6 months.
The installation crew arrived on time - I live several hours away from Calgary. The crew was well prepared and very careful as the parts were moved to the basement for assembly. They cleaned up as they went so that was easy. They touched up any 'bums' on the cushion fabric and went over the care instructions of the table with me.
I am very happy with the table and the company. I went back to their store and bought more items.
