Ramada by Wyndham Red Deer Hotel & Suites

Stayed 3 nights , night three I got into a heated conversation with the general manager because like he said the hotel rooms and parking lot are not his concern. All I wanted was a phone charging cable or money for a new one after mine went missing in my room, the general manager is unprofessional and instantly defensive when I told him about what happened.

***DO NOT STAY HERE!!!*** If there was an option for 0 stars that is what this hotel should be reviewed as. It is not worth your time or money. I have never encountered such poor service from staff straight to the general manager Vimal Pillay! Worst professionalism I have ever seen for someone in a position as his. We rented the family suite for our daughters birthday and upon our arrival they checked us into the suite dirty. The bathroom had dirty towels in the tub soap tray caked on dry soap and no new fresh shampoos conditioners or towels. There was hair everywhere from the bathroom floor to the sheets on beds very disgusting! When we realized we were checked into a dirty room we called down to front desk and were told that was their only family room and if we were not satisfied we should just go to a different hotel. Had I not had a couple of my daughters friends meeting us for cake and gifts that’s exactly what we would have done. Instead of apologizing for the mistakes made the gm Vimal Pillay refused to do anything other than send a housekeeper to clean the bathroom while we were busy doing cake and ice cream for our daughters birthday. He had told us that night there would be a discount on our room for the inconveniences then went back on it upon checkout the next morning with him being nowhere to be seen and having his front desk agent tell us he wouldn’t be doing anything because we had children come for cake and ice cream and they don’t allow extra guests. It was the poorest level of service and professionalism I have ever seen in any hotel I have ever stayed at. The general manager of this property Vimal Pillay was so unprofessional that he was even leaning on the counter with his hands on his chin as he was discussing the issues with us. Very unwelcoming, very unsanitary! Not a hotel that anyone would want to spend their hard earned money on! We will not be back and will make sure we spread the word about the horrible conditions this hotel is in and the reasoning why is because of the lack of concern from their general manager Vimal Pillay! Do not waste your time or money here!

Well for starters they never have hot water, it’s always cold no matter the day the time the year, it’s cold. The staff members also steal chargers, (nothing else was taken to my knowledge) the general manager is very unprofessional. i was told “the rooms and parking lot are none of his concern” tough luck basically, and to “go buy a new charger from shell that’s not my problem” it was shocking that soon as another guest walks in his demeanour changes, and lowers his tone. there was no resolution, i was told to “go file a complaint online” good luck everyone, hide your wife, hide your kids and please hide your chargers

Rooms are filthy and dated. Stains on doors and socks from past guests found under a table. Could hear the people above take every single step. Pillows are large and lumpy. For the price, you can stay at a newer hotel in the area. We stayed here as it was a busy weekend with a rodeo and many of the better hotels were booked. Two stars as the bunk beds were perfect for the kids, good idea.

After having a family emergancy we need some where to sleep for the night. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing, so friendly, helped get us a better rate, and when the computer acted up he didn't make us wait while he worked on the issue. The room was clean and nice, staff on the morning where friendly. Highly recommended this hotel based on the staff alone.

We loved our stay! We were treated so well the entire stay. But the best part was the customer service. We left our sons favorite blankie in the hotel room which we only realized when we got back home. The staff were so helpful and kind in looking for his blankie, calling us back and sending him in the mail back to us. We are so grateful for the amazing people at this hotel. If you're looking for a family oriented place to stay with people who truly care, stay here! Thank you :)

Great service from the employees, beds are comfy. Could be better if in Rooms that allows dogs that wasn't any carpet and also if every morning for their hot breakfast their was more variety. Will stay here again in the future really love their big water slide.

First time here. Very friendly staff and beds are SO comfy. My grandson LOVED the waterslide. Pool is a bit cool but hot tub is nice. The rooms are very clean and great having a hot breakfast. Will definitely be first choice next time in Red Deer. Did I mention the beds were comfy ?
