Pretty gross hotel but friendly front desk staff, especially the guy working early in the morning. Unfortunately everything was already paid for because it was included in a two day trip booking. I was exhausted after the long trip & I asked if it was possible to check in early, I was told it would be a 15 minute wait. My room was shockingly dirty, the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly at all, the carpet wasn't vacuumed, coffee area was grimy. The main & hallway carpets were dirty, I also noticed water stains on the walls. Way too many cons to list & this wasn't up to health & safety standards at all. It was so awful I checked out a day early I didn't care that I paid for it already,that's how disappointing it was, I couldn't wait to leave.

I only stayed overnight as a stopover for driving, so I didn't really mind the renovations that were ongoing. I wouldn't choose to stay here more than a night while the renovations are ongoing. The common areas and exterior in general looks quite dated and in need of maintenance, which looks like they are doing now. The room itself was quite fine and clean and had a nice view.

Positive: staff were more than helpful fixing the mixups. Negative: we stayed 2 nights but the room is not cleaned or coffee/towels replenished each day and we did not know this. 1st room was still being painted, 2nd room was occupied, 3rd room excellent hallways should be vacuumed especially during renovations

Front desk person was snotty and disrespectful, slow and not helpful at all. Didn’t explain things properly and wouldn’t let me cancel my room (30 seconds after I β€œmade a reservation β€œ) I went into the Ramada in Kamloops and asked about their cheapest room. The employee booked a room for me saying it was their cheapest room but didn’t specify how much it was (answering phones the entire time making me feel like I couldn’t talk to him) When the bill came for me to pay I questioned it because the price seemed high compared to what I saw online. He was a bit snappy with me and pushed me to just pay for the room saying he didn’t know anything about online prices and he’s already made the reservation for me. (Dropping his arms and sighing saying β€œwell I already made the reservation) which took him almost 15 minutes of me standing there as he answered phones the entire time. I felt pressured so I paid and walked to my car where my partner tells me we are in the wrong place and we are supposed to go somewhere else. So I walk back in and say I need a refund for my room. He refused to refund me saying his manager can help me but she not in until tomorrow.. did nothing to try and contact the manager or help me at all. I felt coerced and pushed into paying for the room because he β€œalready made the reservation” and when I immediately regretted my decision he kept answering phones and brushing me off. his attitude was put off I was even there from the start and talked so fast I could barely understand him sighing and toney with me when I asked him to repeat himself… I am so angry and disgusted by this place. I feel completely disrespected and I will never give a Ramada another cent of my money.

The carpets in the hallways are horrible filthy and I know they are renovating so new carpets should be a priority. The rooms are spacious and clean. Lacks plugs to charge phones and the ones found we in the back of the bed. No alarm clock in the room. Better lighting outdoors as we drove by the hotel twice. Signs lights were burned out If they added plugs and finished the renos and provided an alarm clock it would be a decent hotel to stay at.

Positive: Access to restaurant and good food in good price there. Negative: I was booked to the room where i found someone's belongings ( bags, clothes etc)¿ then my room was changed. It was very cold so i got extra heater. Then power in the room blow up. Staff really wanted to help but overall experience isn't good.

The hotel is well positioned - close to town and the sights. The desk staff are not particularly friendly and can be quite snippy. Very little personal engagement and quite unfriendly. The rooms are neat and decently appointed. Our room had bedside lamps which didn't work and a hairdryer that smelled like burned hair when turned on. The carpets in the passageways are filthy and need to be steam cleaned. The complimentary breakfast was fair. The eggs Benedict was fine but not mind blowing. Overall, a bit of a damp squib of a hotel experience. Guess you get what u pay for. Definitely room for improvement.

We were treated for five star treatment. Joan’s welcoming and can do attitude set the stage for our pleasant visit. The conference was well lit and large and food from the restaurant was served on time and was hot and tasty. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and adequately appointed. This hotel remembers that customer service makes all the difference in how a guest feels and what they remember regardless of the hotels stars. Thank you for taking care of my 90 year old mom and I.
