We're a Canadian chocolatier with a rich history.
Our founder, Richard Carmon Purdy, started selling homemade chocolates in downtown Vancouver, Canada in 1907. After 100+ years of crafting fine chocolates, you get to know a thing or two about doing it right.
At Purdys, everyone - from our chocolatiers to our in-shop chocolate connoisseurs - is always inspired to take you away from the ordinary. We source premium-quality ingredients from around the world, and choose local options whenever possible. We never compromise on quality, and you bet you can taste it.
Our chocolates are made with sustainable cocoa. We pay a premium for sustainable cocoa to ensure our farmer partners and co-ops are supported by programs that improve their profit and the livelihoods of their families. It's really quite simple, it's a choice we've made because it's the right choice to make.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good dark chocolate as it is also the only chocolate I can have as I am lactose intolerant and soy intolerant as well. Just one thing the prices are a little high for me so don't but to much of it only as a treat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another update, they finally responded after a few months. *I would like to mention that Purdys reached out to me, and I msgd them back and they never followed up, I got zero response. Please dont see their "response" on here as genuine!* I absolutely LOVE Purdys, its always been my favorite. Always good quality and consistent. However at this particular location there is one employee that always seems like I am an inconvenience to her. My hubby and I generally get 20 selections each, ok were only spending around $50, but she could at least smile and treat us with respect. Im a retail store manager, and have been in retail for going on 20yrs, if I knew my employees treated my customers this way we would be having a conversation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was there with my two daughters and my mother-in-law. My MIL was going to get my older daughter and herself some ice cream. After my daughter chose a flavour, my MIL was looking to see what kind she wanted and the worker asked her to move aside so someone behind her could look instead, preventing her from picking anything and not being able to get her own. It was 33 degrees outside and my MIL just wanted to have some ice cream but apparently that worker felt she didn't need it I guess.
