★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to pick up an online order and it seemed like most of the staff were too busy or uninterested in helping out. Place had maybe two or three patrons in there, including myself, with over 6 staff just milling about. It took three separate people to get me my online order of a skate sharpening card. I felt like I was being passed from unwilling CSR to another.
Covid distancing doesn't mean people have to be cold or distant socially. In fact, it should be quite the opposite. Non verbal communication (mannerisms, voice intonation, etc.) do make a difference in customer retention. I likely won't go back there other than to get my skates sharpened or to do a quick pick up of an online order. Hopefully the staff morale /demeanour was just a one time incident. I'm far from an experienced hockey player, so it's important that staff take the time to ensure that they are willing to invest some time in informing and fitting. Make us feel important, and we will come back and spend.
This is probably more important than ever when competing with online retailers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So happy! They have a fantastically well priced selection of skates. I managed to get my son a really good pair of thousand dollar skates! If I'm lucky I can go back in January and get the next size skates for only twelve hundred dollars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great store for gear to begin with but the young man who helped my little guy get his first skates and helmet today was absolutely awesome. Our little guy walked out of there even more excited to play hockey! Wish I caught his name but thank you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The store was an absolute nightmare, besides the foul smell coming from the back room the customer service was terrible the one employee named "John" was was hitting on my 9 year old daughter while i was testing out a stick.

They were both very helpful in finding the right size of gloves for my son, and apparel for my daughter. Thank you for the great service.

Andrew shared so much knowledge, was so kind and friendly and made the entire experience easy and comfortable. If you are heading in for new skates, I highly suggest asking for Andrew.
