β β β β β Nothing but good things to say about Posener's.
Instructors are great! Simon and the team of instructors are very knowledgeable in all the disciplines that encompass mixed martial arts and they are able to teach it and share their knowledge no matter what level you are at.
Big spacious clean facilities, plenty of classes on offer. The membership rates are very competitive compared to other places in Vancouver.
I always felt Simon and the team have the students best interests at heart, rather than pressuring and sucking them into a membership program for the sake of $$, the same can't be said about other martial art gyms I've had experience with.
The gym environment is very positive and it often feels like a closely knit community.
I would recommend this gym to anyone who has an interest in Mixed Martial Arts or Muay Thai no matter what level you are at, whether you are a pure beginner or someone that wants to compete. Or if you just want to get fit and learn practical self defense their Cardio Muay Thai classes are highly recommended for that.

β β β β β If you are looking for a dojo that has little ego and lots of compassion this is the place for you. Simon is a master at his trade and the proof is in the training.Simon, Costa, and George and all the other trainers are extremely professional and thorough with their individual classes. I cannot give these guys enough praise and credit for their hard work and devotion to the students. Simon is an absolute gentleman and I highly suggest anyone to join this martial arts club that feels more like a family than a martial arts club.

β β β β β Recently, I was involved in a road rage incident and assaulted with a weapon. I believe from this point on it was my training at Poseners Pankration that helped me survive the event. I was able to anticipate and evade the initial assault and able to retrieve and use his weapon to neutralize his threat. I have no doubt that it was my training in Martial Arts that helped put me from a position of a victim to a position of control. The lesson that was reinforced is that we don't plan for these things to happen, but the training helped prepare me for it and to avoid serious injury.

β β β β β Simon and his team are wonderful coaches and mentors. They support many different abilities and always circulate to assist students with proper technique. His Dojo is very positive and professional, I always feel very welcome by everyone that trains at Poseners.

β β β β β I would like to thank Simon for his teachings. I spent 2 years living in East van, training pankration and muay thai. A great training atmosphere with great people. The skills I learned there have become invaluable to me. Out of all the martial arts i've trained in over the years, posener's techniques are the most practical. I would recommend any martial artist, whether you are a beginner , advanced or an "expert" in your respective field, to train at this dojo.

β β β β β Our son has been in the program for 8 years starting at the age of 6. It is always difficult trusting your children with others, particularly in such a physical sport. Sensei Simon and the coaching staff have been top shelf. The teachings are high level and train the students in ALL aspects of Mixed Martial Arts. They push the students to apply what they have learned, not just going through the motions. But more importantly, teachings about self-awareness, conduct, discipline, and respect abound in the student's growth. These teachings carry the students in all aspects of their life. We have fully placed our trust in Sensei Simon and the coaching staff, and in return, they have helped our son develop into the confident, humble young man he is becoming.

β β β β β I look back at the days spent at Posener's Pankration (over 10yrs) as one if the best time periods of my life. Simon was my instructor, a mentor, spiritual leader and a great friend. His teaching and guidance helped shaped into the man, husband and father I am today.
The principals and philosophies I learned under his tutelage are invaluable in life. I use those skills and lessons everyday and teach those valves to my children. The results are evident in there success in life so far, they are excelling in martial arts, academically, they are confident, driven, and are respectful towards others. Just wanted to let you know, Simon your positivity and influence has touched multiple generations!!! Only wish I still lived on the mainland, I would be there with Simon and the rooster of world class instructors (my brothers) he has on his team.
So many great memories, training, teaching, tournaments, ring fights, and the people and friends, definitely an amazing journey.
I will always consider myself a student of his and I'm proud of it!
Let's just say I'm not too worried about getting mugged, anywhere in the world ?
