Pella Windows & Doors

I spent a small fortune on Pella windows and patio doors in order to get quality product, but their lack of professionalism from the sales associate in the Dorval office has me regretting my choice. I called customer service twice, and the local office a handful of times to discuss an issue with my order that is in production and no one is being responsive, providing solutions or providing an ounce of customer service. I’ve never been yelled at before by a sales associate but today’s shouting match was beyond disgusting as a client that has paid for my order in full already and I can only imagine I’ll be met with the same unprofessionalism and ignorance if ever I have issues with my product warranty. Worst decision ever to sign a contract with them. Go elsewhere!

We ordered several windows, a door and a sliding door from Pella at the beginning of June 2019. We paid the deposit which was cashed almost as soon as I left the showroom. Our understanding was that they would be ready in approximately 8-10 weeks. We did not receive our order until the end of September. When I called to inquire, the person I spoke to was incredibly rude about the matter. As for the installation, well, suffice it to say that some of the hardware and screens were damaged. The installer told us that these would be replaced. To date, that has happened. Furthermore, the first time we used screen part of the sliding door the frame started to come apart. I would stay as far away from these guys as possible. Almost every part of the interactions with them has been unpleasant and both the product and the installation leave a lot to be desired.

I bought Pella products with the integrated blinds 10 years ago and they're are still working perfectly. Great products!

My husband and I used this Company to replace some windows in our home having use them previously a number of years ago. After taking measurements, the windows took twice as long to deliver than promised and when they were delivered, one window was 3 inches too small. They left a complete mess after installation. The new window was installed a couple of months later and same problem. No clean up after installation and poor installation. No talk of apologies or possible compensation. This franchise has taken a once reputable option for windows and doors and made them an option to avoid at all costs! We'll never use them again!

More then a year ago I signed a contract with "Pella Windows & Doors" for three(3) windows fabrication and installation. The windows delivery took 4 moth longer then expected. One of the three windows has the installation defect that I'm waiting already 4 month for a fix. The window cannot be locked properly . But it's getting worst: I'm not able to pull it up to open. The company is not responsive.

We did a whole gut job in our house in Westmount and Pella came highly recommended. It was the worst experience we have ever had with any vendor in our year long major reno job. They are super responsive when it comes to the sale but then our installation date got pushed back 3 months when they had initially promised a 6 weeks delivery to install date. When they did come to do the job finally (after we called multiple times, showed up in person, threaten to take legal action!!!) they did not complete it then we had to go through this whole ordeal again for them to come back to install the flashings. Not to mention that the owner clearly has personality issues and was menacing and a pain to deal with. Thank god they are not the ones who actually make the product as it’s made in the US by Pella but Pella should really shut this vendor down. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Edit 2021-09-09: Still no news as to when our windows will be FINISHED let alone fixed... many attempts to contact the business, and they do not answer. It has been 2 years since we placed our order. Edit 2021-05-10: The company reached out to us the day after this review was posted (after months of being ignored), and threatened to not come back finish the job unless I removed my review... they seem to be holding true to this as it has been almost 2 weeks, and we have not heard back to schedule a date for them to finish the project... Terrible service! A small fortune was spent to replace 2 windows, a sliding door and a bay window. Our order was placed in SEPTEMBER 2019, and the job is still not completed. Originally, we were told the entire project would be completed within 6 weeks, yet here we are in almost MAY 2021, and the job is not complete. The initial installation was done almost 6 months later, but the outside job could not be done because it was winter. We had sent many e-mails to know when the rest of the job will be done, and they told us they were understaffed. They ended up "finishing" the outside in August 2020. The interior is still not completed, because they didn't have time to do it, and needed to come back another time to finish painting and the interior detailing. Also, the outdoor work needs to be redone, as it was done in a botched manner (aluminum trimming is peeling off, and both sides are not even equal?!?! It looks like they ran out of material, and had to use scraps on one side. You can see that the pieces don't even meet, so there are gaps, and they are peeling off! This is how they left the job last year, this is not happening after years of it being installed). The caulking was also a huge mess, and the caulking was inconsistent with holes in the seals... The employee at the company had the audacity to tell me "This is construction, and it will never be perfect, and it looks ok to me", they also told me that they had more important projects/problems to deal with than this. The inside of our house is also not completed, the painting is not done. They only put one coat of primer over the plywood, but they painted over dust, so it feels like sandpaper. On our glass sliding door, we have the integrated curtains, however, there are many fingerprints on the inside of the glass, which is impossible to clean without taking apart the door. When they installed the windows initially, they caused a lot of damage to the walls around the windows when removing the old windows, that we had to fix at our costs. The plaster around the windows was shredded up to 6inches out from the window. They also damaged our driveway with their truck, they backed up with a part of the truck lowered, and it scratched off a chunk of the pavement in our driveway. We have sent multiple e-mails to multiple people and they do not answer. This company demands a full payment before they even start the job, then they do a half job, and don't finish... We chose this company, as they were reputed to have good products. The windows alone are nice, but the service and attention to detail is absolutely terrible. They are refusing to come fix their mistakes and bad job. Do we really need to threaten legal action to have things done???
