Action 500 Dorval Karting, Jeux d'Évasion, Laser tag, Escape Room

Great for kids bday party. Staff where trained well. Tough for wait times cause there isn't much to do and arcade is limited for the kids. Lack of seating for spectators and in general to wait. One thing I am disappointed is how super expensive it is.

I made a reservation for an escape room here with a small group of coworkers. The reservation states you should be there a half hour before the actual start time, which our entire party was. It only took all of about 2 minutes to get signed in. We were told to go wait and someone would get us in about 5 minutes for the room. We ended up waiting almost 40 minutes, 10 minutes past the actual scheduled start time and after I went to the front desk twice to remind them we were there and waiting. There was no explanation for the wait, I was just told we'd be brought in soon. We had dinner reservations for after the room and had had to rush to the escape room after work to make the half hour early sign-in requirement, so we were annoyed with the unexplained and unnecessary wait to say the least. When we finally got to the room, it did seem really well designed and we were having fun. But with about 20 minutes left we were stuck halfway through the game and requested a clue on the iPad they gave us. They told us the clue would come through on the iPad in a second but we accidentally locked ourselves out of the iPad somehow and weren't able to see the clue. We waved at the cameras and tried to yell for one of the staff to hear us but had absolutely no answer for the remaining 20 minutes in the room and were essentially just stuck waiting there until our time ran out. When the time ended, it took another 3-4 minutes at least for the last gate to open to even let us out of the room, at which point we told the staff member what had happened and they asked if we had waved at the cameras, yelled, etc. which we said we had for the entire 20 minutes. They offered to give us more time but since we were already running late for our dinner reservation we couldn't. Really disappointed in the overall experience, especially since it seemed like the room could have been really fun and we were enjoying it at the start.

Had a reservation for 5:30, was told they had "system issues" and waited for over an hour, even though we had a reservation well in advance. We paid extra for a package they couldn't deliver and they said it's not their problem and couldn't issue a refund. Do not recommend, lots of other great go kart places to go to.

We made a reservation for a Saturday night at 7pm. 5 people, 2 games each. We got there, signed in and waited 15 mins for our first race. Once we finished, we found out that they hadn't reserved a second game. They had also not sent us a receipt by email. After being bounced around by the staff, we were told to come back in half an hour. On our return, we waited another 15 mins until we were thrown into another race where our stats would not be displayed. Additionally, the intro video claimed that they would be very strict with violent driving. However, some other racers kept bumping into the rear of our cars and generally horsing around and crashing, at which time, the staff slow the cars to get them back on track. As such, a significant portion of our races were done at fractional speed. Though it was nice for that one staff member to try and squeeze us it, it would have been much nicer if they had not botched our reservation and if the lady at the front desk wasn't ON HER PHONE while serving us. We did enjoy the battery karts, the seats and pedals were even adjustable.

Average. The place is dull and dark with no atmosphere. No food bar or vending machine for food or snacks. Definitely bring a packed lunch. $1 for the locker but each time you open it you need a 1$. It’s got 5 arcade machines that are all 1$ but the playtime is really short and half of them are Broken. Go Karts looked fun but after we tested the Jr karts for my 6 year old he was too short and they wouldn’t let him on. His 47inchs bare foot and his legs where extended on the peddles which is an understandable safety issue. Problem is their information is so inconsistent across all form of communication. Website, email and link within email and automated voice on the phone. For Jr karts It says 48inch but it also says 1.2m and 4 foot and on the email 102cm and if you convert these measurements from one to the other they don’t convert accurately. For the laser tag it’s says ages 5+ on one of the online bookings but then the rest it says 7+. All being said the staff where nice and accommodating. Although we couldn’t do the karts we got a credit to return and the 4x games of laser tag game where fun and tired out my son well, he really enjoyed it. I’ll only return to use my credit for the karts when my son is taller but otherwise there are more better equipped laser tag and kart places around the city than here which is unfortunate as they could really have a good thing going if it was better put together.

I had one of the best experiences. My son had a great time. Would definitely recommend!

This was our first time visiting Action 500 Dorval. We showed up with no reservations and were told the next junior race was in 45 minutes. Our bad for not thinking ahead. Our first race went well. Note to adults, you will have a hard time fitting into a junior kart. My 8-year old son had no issues of course. We wanted to try laser tag but my son was a bit nervous. Sabrina at the front desk was super kind and showed us the room and laser guns in advance. She went above and beyond in my opinion. Rarely seen in teenagers. Our first mission went smooth except my gun decided to act up and become deactivated. I swapped guns in the 2nd mission and was told the game would be extended longer due to the defect. Overall, a great first-time experience. We plan on returning soon with some friends and maybe a birthday party too.

This place was pretty good. I used it as a starter to my brother's bachelor party and we had a blast. The staff was welcoming and new how to create a great experience for us. I like the fact that they keep track of your stats. I will most definitely be back to attempt to beat my previous score! Top 10 for the week! Yessir!
