★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sent out my passport over a month ago via mail and never heard back, got there super early and was in and out within 5 minutes, the lady was really nice! Get there as early as you can I arrived at 6:00am but was worth the wait!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I submitted my application for travel document February as Emergency with proof of it. Every time I call the agent for an update they keep telling me I will write an email to an immigration agent so they can see it . I’m so tired and hopeless so I give up because I don’t see any other option. We have family in overseas who are suffering and dying. Each day we keep losing a member of our family and it’s sad for as please and please !!!
The government better have to do something hired more people to serve as because we are tired and we need our document why is it taking this long it’s unfair service.

They never made any effort to search for it. instead they take 2 months to find it, call me to tell me to pay more fees or i will not receive my passport for another month. they are taking forever on the application because they refuse to fix their mistake and they refused to do anything when they lost it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ *UPDATE* Received my passport in earlier than the quoted 10 business day ETA. It arrived 6 business days after after I applied in-person on April 11, for travel starting June 10 (no proof of travel required, but I brought a copy of my flights just in case). Maybe I got lucky with not many others applying the week of Easter long weekend. After seeing the horror stories about long lines in Toronto, so relieved to have my passport renewed so quick! Big thanks to the staff at this location.

Arrived at the 210 Champlain location at 7:45am, 45 mins before opening at 8:30am today (Monday, April 11) for passport renewal. Was #3 in line. By opening at 8:30am, it looked like there were maybe 40 others in line. Service was very efficient. Once inside, the Comissionaire does a quick COVID screening and then directs you to reception where you will receive a ticket. There is seating for about 20 people so you may need to stand, depending how busy it is.
My number was called after only about 5 mins of waiting. The service desk agent was very kind and helpful. Once assigned to an agent, reviewing my application took about 2 mins and I was out the door, ETA of 10 business days for when the new passport will be sent out. All told I was in and out within about 10-15 mins of them opening.
I haven’t been to the Meadowlands or other Ottawa locations, but had a very pleasant experience at the Gatineau location. Easier to find than navigating Place du Centre. If you live in Centretown or close to the river, definitely go with this location. Very easy and pleasant experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in person for a new passport and received excellent service. I had to stand in line for about two hours and was served in English at this Québec location. I didn't qualify for urgent processing because I didn't bring a plane ticket but my passport came to me in time, much earlier than the estimate they provided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star simply because we are all left in the dark. People who mailed the documents in, the phone line is out of order. It says due to high call volume try again later. This has been happening for a month. Sent my Application in first week of March. No word, no email confirmation, nothing..The very least this office can do is to provide a number where we can call and check the status of our passport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently realizing that my passport was due (Feb.'22), not only did I submit an appointment request on-line, but I took a chance to go in person at the nearest Passport office located at 210 Champlain St. in Gatineau (without a confirmed appointment); because the website[s] indicated an average of 2 to 5 weeks for a passport delivery...time I didn't have! Mindful that it was in the midst of a pandemic, I was surprised to be the 1st at the door when the office opened at 8:30am. I was well greeted by the Commissionaire and then the office staff to obtain my number. Within seconds, I was seated with a Servicing Agent who was very cordial, helpful and friendly. My renewal took approx. 5 minutes (and I'm being generous!) and I will have my renewed passport within 10 business days via Registered mail. My congrats to all staff for the great, courteous and expeditious service!! Merci!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrive a hour early. When the place opened the line had over 30 people up to the street. Anyway super fast once you're in. I was in and out in 10 minutes when the place opened because I was there a hour before. Just bring snacks and earbuds you'll be good.
Edit: If you want a quick passport book a early flight, and you will be able to pick it up the day before your 'flight'.
