Cecilia Vegas was very prompt, patient, and knowledgeable. I had some confusion on my end, but she was very professional and went above and beyond the customer service expectation. Even though it was my fault there were issues regarding paperwork for a Belgian visa, she was very kind and did everything on her end very promptly to ensure my trip wasn't affected. Much thanks to Cecilia and her kindness!

I was applying for a tourist visa. The staff was very polite, they accepted my documents without any problems. Although the average processing time on their website was 3 weeks, I got my passport back in 1 week and I got exactly was I was asking for (and they didn't even ask for plane tickets booking confirmation). UPS screwed up a little with the delivery, as usual, but it's not the consulate's fault. I'm very satisfied with my experience. Didn't try contacting them on the phone though, and I see most people complain about that. For me, everything went great.

My experience with the embassy has been really nice. I applied for a short term schengen visa twice with the consulate. The first time I got it within a week, and the second time I got it in around 10 days. I know they are not really accessible by phone but they are really fast with the emails. Even during really busy time like Christmas, they considered my request to expedite my application as I was flying in 15 days, and they were really helpful. To anyone applying for a visa, I would say closely follow their website. You have to find information on the website but what's on the website is what they want. They are there to help you. So I would say be patient and polite with the staff and they will try their best to help you.

Planning to come back to Belgium. Needed information's about the covid related procedure. Impossible to have a proper human being on the phone when choosing the "other information's" section on the voicing box. So I recalled and went to the passport and ID section. I deeply apologized for using the "wrong" path and asked for more info on the procedure. The girl answers that everything is on the website. Zero understanding... Bored voice... Not even a good bye... Come on Belgium... When all the staff at the Canadian gov is so understanding and helpful during this mess. That's very sad ! Please stay cool... This pandemic is a total mess... It's very hard to know for sure what to do and travelling is very stressful. I know you might be saturated with these kind of calls... But it's your job to keep your cool ! I hope you gonna get this and implement improvements ! Good luck to you ! Peace

I’m travelling and I have been calling for the last 10 days no one is picking up the one time the pick up a girl told me to call back in half an hour because she doesn’t know and then no one picked up this is so messed up

I applied for a type-D long stay visa, the process took only about three weeks (maybe even shorter since I didn’t check my mail box last week)which was a pleasant surprise! Thank you so much for the fast service!

Called them to gather urgent information and despite having chosen the Dutch language option, the person answered in French, saying they barely spoke Dutch. I offered to change to English, which I speak fluently, but he admitted his Englisj wasn't great as well. Ended up having to puzzle together 5 minutes of poor English and gibberish. Quite sad for an embassy representing a country that dominantly speaks Dutch and is set in a, mostly, English speaking country. The experience left me frustrated and confused, especially since I depend on them...
