it was terrible took me 4 hours to submit this claim!!! First off web site would not accept my password took 2 phone calls to iron this problem out!!!then it would not let me submit my claim said something was wrong with the text in the form so after another phone call find out it doesn't like the # sign and just so happens that was in the address of clinic I was claiming for. Also must say one of the three people I had on the phone suggested I should just download the claim form and mail it in !!!! I went on to inform her I did not go to the trouble of setting up a online profile to submit by mail.

The number of times I call to ask if something is covered, they say yes, and then when i go to submit my insurance they give an excuse as to why its not covered. The latest excuse was "We consider this service to included in another fee charged". Well the dentist charged me both fees, my plan says both service codes are 100% covered, so why short me? The app doesn't work on my phone, customer service is a joke. Can't submit dental through the website or the app I gave 2 stars because they are fast at processing things. I will give them that.

If you’re thinking about travel insurance, look somewhere else. We checked by calling to ensure we were covered for COVID quarantine, and they said we were. Unfortunately everything about opening and submitting a claim has been a nightmare. We put in the work, mailed everything in that they asked, translated the receipts, even attached the credit card statements to show local currency amount and put together a spreadsheet to help organize the pile of receipts. They sent a cheque for $200 on a claim of over $2000 (2 ppl for 11 days food and accommodations) which was well within the 300/day limit. They didn’t even try contact us to rectify, I guess hoping we would give up? They say our Air BNB and UBER eats receipts aren’t good enough??? What a joke. Fighting it now which is just as convoluted a process, going on 6 weeks since we submit the claim. Would NOT recommend them for insurance.

I'm glad the deductible isn't 200 anymore, previously I paid into this for over a year and wasn't able to use it because my income had changed, that was on me though. I have decent coverage now, as I read what I was signing up for prior to purchase. I'm using the dental currently for myself and my daughter.

The e filing is straightforward enough. For some items (multiple visits to same physio) it would be more straightforward to have a function for just changing the date of visit rather than having to re enter the same data over and over. Retired SFU Faculty need to get better coverage. The payments for anything other than drugs are so small that I am barely compensated for the time it takes to file the claim.

Do not use this provider under any circumstances. If a claim is rejected, which it often is, although it says it is covered, there is no way to dispute it. Well it says there is, but you cannot contact them. Getting through to sales is very easy, they answer within 5 minutes. You then get transferred, stay on hold for half an hour, and they make you call a different number. Which says β€œwe are currently unavailable, please try again later” after another hour on hold. Except it doesn’t matter when you call, I have tried at least 10 times at different times of day on every business day of the week, all within their quoted hours. This is clearly a scam, if they don’t feel like paying out your claims they simply don’t. Someone should file a class action lawsuit.

Making claims is easy. What I find challenging about the claims process is that there doesn't seem to be any way to cancel a claim if you realize you've made a mistake. Once I accidentally entered the wrong date for a claim; once I accidentally attached the bill instead of the receipt; and there was no way to delete the erroneous claim, and no information on what to do if you make a mistake. Also, the toll-free number on the website seems to be out of service, and you have to pay a fee to receive the new number. Can't you just correct the website??

I really don't like this provider... many times I've called in to ask if something was covered under my plan and they said yes! Then when I claim it they say no! Also, some of my prescriptions require "further information" and once I gave them the information they wanted and it was approved. But 2 times after it's already been approved, they've requested "more information" again for the SAME exact prescription... It's just a constant headache dealing with them, Canada Life has been way better through my husband's benefits!
