I booked appointment with them for the end of April and a day before going to their office i happen to read the reviews and After reading reviews i was actually hesitant to go their (with 2 kids). I had amazing experience over there i went right on time didn't have to wait for lineup at all and max within 30-35 min i was free to go?…i find the staff respectful and very helpful!

Definitely the worst service! I waited two hours and thirty minutes in line. All this time I was standing in the rain. The building is huge but they only allow 15 people inside, and there are 4 chairs. The agent who served me was very rude. I went to the service to renew the SIN and to unlock my Service Canada account online, but the agent only answered for the SIN. In case I want to unlock the account, I have to stay on hold for 3 hours. Online appointment does not work.

I lined up at 5:30 AM so that I could be first in line. I brought a foldable chair and my laptop so that I could pass the time. Once I got in it only took me 20 minutes to get my passport done so I would recommend doing what I did if you don't want to wait. ?

Came here 3:20 I couldn’t come earlier because I was working, but I thought I still had some time since the hours of service is from 8:30 to 4. The security guard was very rude and straight told me that they were close, 40 minutes earlier? Also with people inside and waiting outside? They should state that somewhere, me and 5 other people came all this way, some even call earlier to ask if they could come around 3:30 and someone say yes, but when they came here they got the same response as me. I know everyone is short staff this days but Please honor your service hours or if you can’t at least change them. And if you can, just go to another Service Canada location, don’t bother to come to this one, is the worst I have visited.

I lined up at 6:30 and was the first one in the building at 8:30 for a walk in appointment to get a new passport. Lots of people were lined up by 8:30, but many didn't start arriving until about 7:30, so you should still get in relatively quickly if you don't get there before 7am. The employee helping me was very kind and helpful! I had all my forms filled out and printed before coming and all my documents ready to hand over, so it was very smooth. They enter most information manually, so it can take a bit of time, but it felt like a very smooth process to me. I did work in line while waiting, and there was good enough wifi I didn't have to hotspot. Overall, very smooth!

This place makes you stand in the line for 3+ hours and then after waiting for 3+ hours, you get asked by the security guard - "Why are you here". You can give ANY answer whatsoever and he always directs you towards the service canada officers (which you would anyways go). Unlike the South Asian security guard, Service Canada officers are actually nice & helpful - however, if you are a new immigrant - in many cases you would find that Service Canada actually wasn't the place to go in the first place. Similar to my case, I saw many folks being told that they are missing some documents and/or should go to a different office. I understand that they are short staffed but having a competent officer review your case while you stand in the queue would definitely help alleviate some major pain. That way, someone competent can verify "why you are here", check if you have necessary docs earlier than 3 hours and the queue proceeds much faster! I haven't been able to get a callback for appointment "within 2 business days" (call back actually came after 3 weeks) and visiting the office in-person was the only option for me to get answer to a simple query. Not sure why there is such a cumbersome process to book an appointment!

The office/facility is ridiculously understaffed for its size and amount of customers they get. Upon entering the office after a long wait, I was directed to another office simply because they offer limited services. Completely wasted an hour and a half waiting in line without any guidance. It is a shame that government offices offer such low quality service and expect customers to just deal with it. I totally understand that their services are limited due to COVID, but there is NO SUFFICIENT INFORMATION available anywhere. It would be nice if there is an officer outside in the waiting area at least to answer customers with questions and identify their needs. UP YOUR GAME! PLEASE!!! (NOTE: They do NOT offer EXPRESS Passport services - Visit the nearest Passport Services office)

Came here around noon on Thursday to get my passport renewed and it took about 35 minutes to get the front of the line. I had forgotten a few things so I had to run back out and grab them. The lady who served me was very helpful and told me there usually wasn’t a line after 3 or early in the morning before 11. So I arrived back at 3:15 and there was zero line and I was helped right away. Staff was kind. I think this for sure beats going downtown. They are still running pretty high covid protocols and because of this they have a maximum capacity which means many people wait in the rain when there is plenty of room inside. Parking is pay parking but doesn’t seem to be strictly monitored. Overall it was FINE. 4 stars is generous. Will update when I get my passport if it was indeed a 4 star experience haha. ??
