Amazing Amazing Amazing. I was in a terrible situation earlier this afternoon when I tried driving through what I though was a shallow puddle on Still Creek street in Burnaby. After reaching the halfway point, my car shut off and I was stranded with no way to get out. I called BCAA and not only did their driver arrive within 1 hour, but he also waded into the water himself so he could attach the tow lines to my car. I have been a BCAA customer for many years and this is exactly why. They are committed to excellent service and will try their best to help no matter the situation! I can’t thank them enough

Terrible experience with optional car insurance claim. Tow truck through roadside assistance came almost 2 hours after the promised time. I was stranded in the middle of a highway without any updates. When I asked about where to get it towed to, the operator kept on telling me that I have to figure that out myself. I found the conversation to be extremely rude and unprofessional. Different adjusters are giving me conflicting information. It took +10 calls (over 12 hours including hold time!) between ICBC, BCAA, and the body shop to get my car in for an estimate. With the reduced pricing with ICBC, it is not worth going with BCAA. Way too much hassle to go through when making claims.

The fact that you can't even schedule a tow is obsurd because it's not in there policy?how am I suppose to get my vehicle towed on a weekend am I gonna have to call 6 hour's before just receive a notice that they may not even show up?

This is one review I am NOT happy having to write – simply because I had thought that the BCAA is great, reliable and trustworthy. And this review is only in regard to their renter’s/home-owner’s insurance product. I have been buying their renter’s policy faithfully for the past 5 years but only now found out that they have been overcharging me all this time! And not only just by a bit, but practically DOUBLE what other insurance providers are willing to insure me for. Sure, other companies do have pretty terrible reviews as far as their clients’ claim experience has been, but apparently BCAA’s customers have also gone through horrible experiences with their claim adjusters and agents handling such claims! Read between the lines on the other reviews here. And worse, their front line supposedly licensed sales agents (Adrienne?) do not know the basics of the products they are selling i.e. blaming the increase of their year-to-year mill rate of their insurance on inflation instead of the previous year’s claim experience (as the policy cover amount has not changed.) Just about laughing to my face when I tried to tell her she was wrong. Their supervisor Kishan Puchooa does not fare much better with only trying to convince me to still buy their product instead of addressing my concerns. Please also note that until I specifically asked if their insurance would cover earthquake damage loss, that he told me that it does NOT, and would cost much more to have such a cover, even with high deductibles. In an earthquake prone area as British Columbia is at, isn’t it part of an insurance agent’s fiduciary duty to at least mention this? How unethical! Nahhh.. for their BCAA membership products, pretty good, but for renter’s/home-owners insurance, RUN to other insurance agencies. And it’s not only because of the admittedly small dollar amount difference (the percentage difference is near to 100% though!), but the fact that you will be dealing with high-turnover amateur sales people!

Well: I been in BCAA for to pay my home insurance and car insurance. I think that The car insurance is very compatible with BCAA. If your car broke down anywhere in BC they will help you at any time. God bless you all. In this difficult time.

It was a very good experience in getting my International Drivers Permit because the lady receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Not only that she processed the permit fast and smoothly. Good job, BCAA for having her at the reception.

We called this BCAA location, and after waiting for over an hour to put 1 week of insurance on our farm vehicle for the bad weather, we’re told they do not feel comfortable insuring our vehicle. We asked to speak to the manager to see if they could help us but Shannon refused and said we can call and wait again to speak to someone else… We have always found BCAA easy to deal with but today they wasted our time and didn’t even insure our vehicle.

Nice people there. I went to Burnaby, Canada way with a reservation. No lineup, no delays. I was able to finish in 15 min. I got an international driving license. They prepare it on the spot, including the photos. I just brought the application form filled up and a copy of my driver's license. Very happy with the organization. Thanks
