Very professional and accommodating Animal Centre. We had a great experience with this place and organization throughout the years from adopting to rehoming our pets. Amazing and super friendly staff ?.

They were so insightful about the best ways to approach adopting a cat. They take care of the animals as best as they can. I went there on Saturday and Sunday I came home with a cat I adore. I don't regret going to them for help because they will insure you a good rate with shots and spay/neuter costs included. Plus they have some good offers that help out first time pet owners with costs.

I was making a donation in Memory of Miss Betty White as as I hoped many, many other people were doing the same thing.. She loved animals no matter how big or what kind and I think it would be important for us to have made a donation on her 100th birthday! ???????????‍⬛?‍⬛???????????????????????????????????

WARNING Be fully prepared to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on vet bills. I adopted a very sweet guinea pig from the Barrie SPCA but he was located at a PetSmart. I asked the SPCA via e-mail if he was healthy, they said he was but had some toenail issues, no problem! I adopted him March 20th. The SPCA did a follow up phone call with me and told me they brought him to a vet for blood work and still waiting on the results. Why was I told he was healthy if you were β€œwaiting on results” I told them over the phone and in TWO e-mails I want the vet report. I never got it. Still to this day I have not seen it and now I think I know exactly why. 2 weeks later my guinea pig started peeing blood. I rushed him to a vet and they did an x ray. He had 2 large bladder stones (deadly to guinea pigs). This crushed me, I couldn’t believe he was this ill and no one told me before hand. The SPCA refused to help any vet bills, refused to acknowledge he was ill in their care, for those who don’t know bladder stones this size are not formed in 2 weeks, he had these stones in the SPCA care, and basically said to me β€œit’s your problem nowβ€œ. They also offered to return my adoption fee which I still have not received. And I know I won’t be getting that back because the SPCA Barrie only cares about money. I can very proudly say I provided that guinea pig with the most loving home and BEST chance of survival. I did everything I could do for him. I would love to know if I didn’t adopt him, and if he was still in the SPCA care and peeing blood, would you guys have done the expensive surgery or would you have gone the cheap way and put him down/ euthanize him? I already know what you would have done, because money is the most important to this company. I miss my fur baby everyday and I’m so thankful to have saved him and provided him with absolute unconditional love during his final weeks.

The staff at the OSPCA Barrie are so great. I just had my female dog spayed on Monday. This is the only place I have used to have pets spayed or neutered for the last 10 years!

Excellent services and wonderful staff, had my kitty spayed, only complaint they definitely trimmed the nails very short. My kitty had trouble walking around and would shake it's paws in discomfort for about a week, the spay went well though.
