Do not EVER get a cat from this location. We got our amazing cat Toby from upper credit 5 yrs ago. They told us his age was 2yrs but when we took him to the vet for a check up a month later they told us he was at minimum 8yrs and had to have extensive dental work done. They also told us Toby was FIV -, recently Toby got sick and turns out he is FIV + and we have to put him down. To clarify, Toby was always an in door cat and contracting FIV while he was with us was impossible. We're heartbroken. They lied to us about anything medical regarding our baby and I'm INCREDIBLY disappointed. Do better upper credit.

Recently booked an appointment to meet eligible cats up for adoption. Had previously volunteered there 2008/9 and had great memories working with awesome staff. We were looking to adopt so they were our first choice. We sinced moved an hour out of the area. We dealt with lovely gal named Courtney who was more than helpful and seemed to really care about the cats getting a good home. My daughter fell in love with a cat named Shadow so we put in an application for this kitty. Received a call two days later from Shadows foster mother who was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to in regard to adopting an animal (and I have adopted many over my lifetime). It was clearly a money concern for her for future vet bills and no concern for the cat going to a loving home. We have always looked after our cats and have paid in excess of astronomical vet bills to make sure our cats get the proper care. Certain questions on the application she questioned my answers making me feel like I was almost committing a crime. She said it wasn't first come first served and there were multiple requests for this cat. I understand she want the cat to go to a good home I GET THAT 100%, but she made me feel like a bad pet owner and had me in tears for the rest of the day. Adopting a pet should be a rewarding and exciting experience, not tearful and the feeling of being bullied. Its been over week and a half and we never ended up hearing back from them which is very unprofessional. After doing some research and just the knowing that we wouldn't be considered for this cat we ended up adopting two lovely cats from a local Cat Rescue and the gal that ran this organization was lovely and made our adoption process how it should be, exciting and fulfilling.

Great staff, very helping and friendly. They have treats available in each of the cat rooms to feed them.

Great experience going to see cats. Heading back this weekend to hopefully find one to bring home!!

We brought home a lovely thirteen year old boy named Sid today. They were very helpful, nice and caring while helping us integrate Sid into out fur family. He was so well cared for there receiving all the veterinary care he needed before being adopted out.

Lincoln & Murphy (George & Marty McFly) have stolen my heart & I am now their faithful servant for life. Thank you to Sharon & Heather for giving me the most perfect pair of brothers. Thank you for the food, toys & kitty info kits that came with them as well. I can tell them apart easily now by color & how they act. Lincoln (George) is the bigger brother & comforts/encourages Murphy (Marty). It's a dream having them.... I love their energy & how their tails intertwine when they see me in the morning. Thank you a thousand times.

I adopted Jonah from this location over 10 years ago, he’s currently 11 years old and still kicking around strong, he’s a Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Mix he was returned 3 times and was the longest dog in the shelter at the time because of all his behaviour issues. All he needed was a strong owner willing to put in the time to turn him into the amazing dog he’s become, couldn’t be happier with this decision. Thought it would be cool to give an update on him over a decade later.

We went to UCHS in the recommendation of a family member. The shelter is super clean and the staff and volunteers are amazing. We were able.to.fund a forever friend that matched our home perfectly.
