OMG it's small

Great spot for well priced, well designed furniture. Their specialty is stuff that works for small spaces. Lots of mid-century style furniture.

Ryan at OMG North Van was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. On our first visit, we'd unknowingly dropped into the shop just as they were closing for the day, yet he graciously allowed us to take our time browsing. We showed him a pic of something we had in mind for our living space (a piece of furniture we didn't even know OMG sold), and within minutes he found us exactly the couch we were looking for. On our visits that followed, he took time to answer all our questions as we compared pieces with each other, and even took the time to research extra particulars on our behalf. At no time was he ever pushy, either. He was just genuinely himself - genuinely helpful. When it came time for us to have our piece picked up, he completely went out of his way to assist us. We can't say enough of how impressed we were with his service, not to mention the fact that we absolutely LOVE our Aubrey Couch! Thank you so much, Ryan! Without a doubt, we'll be back again and again! A solid five stars.

I went into their store on Marine to inquire about a couch and a bedframe. While I was there I noticed a used bookshelf they have been using as a display for sale for $500. The shelf was dirty, scratched and had watermarks from plants that had been on it but never the less I was interested. I offered $350 and Hedi counteroffered $425. I asked if she could take $375 and she said she would need to ask her manager and get back to me but that she could hold it for me for 2 days in the interim. I never got the call back and so I called in myself to follow up. I was told the price was $500 by a different sales rep and I told them about the offer of $425 I had got a couple days prior. Again I was told they would call me back and again they did not, the lady on the phone also sounded irritated, especially when I called back again. I eventually got on the phone with Hedi who originally offered me the shelf for $425. She sounded irritated and when I asked why she told me that she was unhappy because I "lied" about the price she offered (she states it was $450) and that she was unhappy her boss called her on her day off. Then she proceeded to tell me the price is now back to $500 because I did not buy the shelf the day I inquired. This makes absolutely no sense since the day I inquired she said she needed to get confirmation about my offer and would call me back, which she never did. So she ultimately gave me attitude, accused me of lying, and dishonored her previous offer providing a completely illogical justification. My original interest was in $5000 worth of brand new furniture and the shelf was just something I ended up trying to work a deal on. I would have been happy to pay the $450 but my calls were not returned, I was given attitude, and the offer was then dishonored. I have taken my business elsewhere for everything including a very similar bedframe for a much better price on Granville Street. Very disappointing experience.

Yesterday was my first visit to the OMG store and I must say I had one of the best experiences of visiting a furniture shop. Heidi who works there was very helpful and full of personality plus, she helped me with great design ideas and made it easy for me to picture how my living room would look with great taste.I came back home with a lot of excitement to measure things and go back to buy all the great stuff we saw together in the shop. She is a great asset to the shop and I will definitely be back soon to buy my ideal furniture from OMG. Benny

This store never disappoints. The furniture pieces are always unique and the quality stands out. What I like about this place is that everytime I go, I find new different pieces and the store always looks different and fresh. The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgable, some of them are actual interior designers. I love how they let you browse and do not hover over or follow you like so many other places. This is a place I go for inspiration, shopping or just to see what's new! I have been a regular shopper/visitor for years and must say, I have been more impressed with them lately with the new styles, customer service and dynamic atmosphere, than before.
