β β β β β Excellent service. We didn't end up buying here, it wasn't what we were looking for, but the sales person was very good. The store was going through a bit of a reno, but everything was fairly accessable. I would recommend this store based on the quality of furniture and the friendly staff and excellent service!

β β β β β Service is EXTREMELY poor. We ordered a bed on January 5 and were told it would take 8 weeks (it was even written on our receipt). We did not get it until May 18 which is 19 weeks! No apologies, refused to discount price and made excuses after excuses whenever we called them. We will NEVER buy from them again.

β β β β β Experience was a total mixed bag for us. Proceed with caution.
Good:
*The quality of the bed frame we ordered is great.
*Delivery was only 2 weeks after order.
Bad:
*Customer service is horrible. Called multiple times to reconfirm time for delivery, leaving messages asking for a call back, and never heard back.
*Bed frame stained wrong colour (thankfully we actually really like this colour too). Didn't bother trying to follow up based on their previous Customer Service experience.
*Restrictive delivery times - and they only call you the night before to confirm a 3 hour window, can make it difficult to schedule (unless you take the whole day off work).
Overall, we don't think we'd ever purchase from them again - unless it is something we can take from the store on purchase.

β β β β β Sadly I have to put at least one star in order to write a review. We placed an order for a sofa in December and when it arrived mid febuary it had incorrect dimensions and configuration . It is now April and we have no updates nor replies to emails or voicemails and most importantly no sofa .I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND shopping at this furniture store.

β β β β β We first dealt with Modern Home Furnishings, North Vancouver in 2007. Our move from West Vancouver to Victoria required that I purchase a full bedroom suite (a queen bed with a beautiful black headboard & footboard, βSpring Airβ mattress (THE most comfortable mattress Iβve ever slept on), and two matching bedside tables - extra tall to match the height of my bed), a computer desk and matching printer table. Once the furniture was made, our moving day was pushed ahead by a couple of weeks so the store held all our new furniture in storage for us and then they arranged a pick-up time with our movers on our moving day. This extra service they provided us was so helpful (moving day is always SO STRESSFUL) as all our movers had to do was pick up our order, load it onto a nearly-full truck, then continue on to the ferry to Victoria, then a short drive to our new home on the island. Iβve enjoyed our new furniture immensely over the past 11 years! Then suddenly last week, I tripped and fell onto my desk, breaking away the slide-in keyboard tray. I emailed the North Van store with pictures in the hopes that I could purchase two new glider sets for the keyboard tray. Within a week, the brand new hardware arrived! After a few intimate moments with my power screwdriver, I had a perfectly working keyboard tray again!
So, thank you VERY MUCH Modern Home Furnishings, and in particular, a big thank you goes to Gary who quickly arranged everything for us in record time!

β β β β β Ashwinder at the North Vancouver store was spectacular: We were in quarantine which makes ordering difficult. She expertly guided me through product lines, item selection, color options and finally purchase and delivery details. What she didn't know, she was able to find out quickly from the various divisions--manager, shipping, finance--within the store. Can hardly wait for our new bedroom furniture to arrive.

β β β β β My sweet Kitsalno Love Seat. So happy with my purchase from MHF. Ash was so helpful and at ease with the details, selection and choices. I must say the Love Seat is exceptionally well made. Thanks to all those who built the sofa. Would not hesitate to recommend.

β β β β β Low quality but expensive with awful service.
I bought a bed and two said tables . The rails of the drawers are broken and the foot fell with a small movement. I was shocked when I saw this board instead by only 6 screw . When I called them, they had lost my information in their system, and Turaj, who sold the bed to me, was no longer working there. I paid $ 3,000 for this set.
Will never come back to this shop.
