My experience was horrible. I was parking my vehicle when going out in the Byward Market one evening when the worker from Municipal Parking begins yelling at me for no reason. He started telling me I was trying to steal cars and that he caught me on camera looking at a vehicle. Meanwhile, at the same time this was happening, there were 3 kids smoking weed together and another person hanging around the corner of the parking lot with no reason to be there. It frightened me to say the least as he was yelling in an aggressive manner for no apparent reason. It's expensive enough to park here because it is underground but I do not feel that my vehicles are safe with so many people smoking weed inside and also, with the man accusing me so arrogantly. If I could give a 0/5 rating I would. Horrible customer service.

I have parked here many times, it's my go-to spot when downtown. I find it very clean, well maintained, and safe. I've never had any issues parking my car here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Municipal Parking is by far the best place to park in downtown, I would recommend this garage to anyone!

My ticket would not scan when I tried to exit, so I called the office. The woman who answered said I had to pay the lost ticket charge ($50!), then call the office to get reimbursed. So, I did this. When I tried calling the office, the man was extremely rude and told me this was NOT the number I was to call, despite it being the number on the ticket and hung up on me. I tried calling back a number of times and he would simply hang up without saying a word. I will never park there again and never advise anyone else to either if this is their standard for customer service.

SCAM!! Avoid this parking. Their pay stations donΒ΄t work and their customer service is the worst and most useless you can find in all Ottawa. Well is not the worst, is simply nonexistent. I tried to get out today and there was a huge line. Once I finally got to the paystation the machine did not read the ticket and all they offered me was to pay the $50 lost ticket fee. Extremely bad service, very expensive and they never returned my money back.

My phone demagnetized the parking pass creating it unreadable upon exit. I had to use the lost ticket button due to the time of having no staff readily on hand. The operator informed me to contact the company the next day. My experience with a staff member called Ben was hugely exemplary. He went above and beyond by giving me every possible tool to contact head office as well reassuring me the steps to the process of being reimbursed. His demeanor and truly informative direction gives this parking garage a 5/5. He should be commended by corporate for his actions!!!

Worst scam in all Canada. Their ticket processing does not work and they charge you $50 to get out. You think that pressing the Help button at the paystation will help: But WRONG! their customer service wonΒ΄t be able to assist you at all and they are incredibly mean! Which makes me wonder why do they even pay a person to be there that will provide no assistance at all. The good thing about this parking is that very easy to identify so that you donΒ΄t go in, it has bright green signs and says stuff like gluten free parking... So yep, thatΒ΄s an identifier for scam.

HORRIBLE customer service. This company charges you $50 for losing your parking ticket. What highway Robbery. It's a $21 maximum and you charge $50 for losing your ticket? Nowhere in your garage or on any of the signs does it say you will be charged this amount. And nobody from this company has been able to help me. Even when I was in the parking garage, they were very unhelpful and lied regarding the fee. Never will I ever park in any of your lots again. And I will definitely be spreading the message about your scamming company. When I paid the fee finally after having to get the money, I DIDN'T EVEN GET A RECEIPT.

I am a resident of the apartment building associated with Municipal Parking Control Inc at 24 York Street. I greatly enjoy the apartment I live in and the staff that manage it; but I have a complaint about the parking service provider. Municipal Parking Control Inc only allows you to begin your monthly parking pass on the 1st of the month. I moved into the building a few days before the first of the month and put my car in the lot on June 29 with the intention to pay until June 30 and then to begin my monthly pass July 1. Because I did not remove the vehicle from the lot at 00H00 on July 1 and re-enter to activate my parking pass, when I left the lot for the first time on July 2 I had to pay for 4 days of parking. I attempted to contact Municipal Parking Control Inc by telephone to receive reimbursement for the payment July 1 & 2 (as I was already paying the monthly amount) but could not reach an attendant. I emailed multiple times explaining my situation and asking for a customer service representative to call me to ask for support in resolving this "double paying" error I made. No one called me and I received a response email saying that it was my fault and they wouldn't reimburse me for this double payment. In my multiple correspondence I admitted I made an error and all I wanted was compassion for this error and a reimbursement for my double payment and again requested a telephone call, which I did not receive. While this is a relatively clean and safe parking lot I would NOT recommend it. The price is substantially higher than many of the similarly located lots in downtown Ottawa and I take issue with Management that cannot spare time to call a concerned or upset customer. While I will continue to pay my monthly allotment for my spot when I have out of town visitors I will be directing them to the much more affordable lot at 70 Clarence Street or to some of the lots that are free on the weekend on Slater.
