Really great selection and super helpful staff. Prices are fair too - unlike a supermarket you can buy what you need rather than pre portioned so you can spend less to get more in smaller quantities which is nice for say a small cheese board

I have been shopping at the House of Cheese for over twenty years and it is one of my all-time favourite cheese stores. A shout out to Brad the owner who continues to knock it out of the park, despite the freaking pandemic.

Disappointed! When I got home two of four products were expired! I called them to explain the situation and they said they would refund me, but didn’t give any reason that the expired items were on the shelf. Also the two employees working were extremely rude! One stunk of cigarettes, it really took away from the atmosphere of the shop.

I just called in to this place and as soon as the employee (the owner maybe) picked up the phone, she sounded rushed and out of breath. After explaining that I had a work function coming up and asking if they had a platter suitable for an event, the person just said "I don't understand what you are asking" in a rude tone. This took me by surprise, so instead of trying to re-explain myself to someone who obviously sounds inconvenienced, I just said "okay then, thank you" and she hung up. All i wanted to confirm was how much notice needed to be given if such a platter can be made upon request or are they pre-made? The website doesn't offer much information. Customer service rules: 1) Don't be rude to your customer. Making them feel stupid won't make them want to purchase from you. 2) If you can't understand their language, hire someone who does to work the desk and phones so you don't have to be so rushed that you answer the phone after 15 rings in a huff and insult your potential customers. If you can't afford to hire someone else, you're gonna find yourself in this situation more than just this time All the person answering would have had to do was sound professional and courteous when answering the phone, and if they didn't understand what I was asking, ask me to repeat myself without sounding hostile. I definitely won't be making the purchase I had planned to make. It would have been sizable had the person answering the phone not brushed me off and sound as rude as possible while doing so. I also will never even considering shopping here in the future. Seeing as how they seem to be getting dinged numerous times for selling expired cheese, maybe my co-workers and I dodged a bullet.

Great selection of cheeses and other fine food products. Be careful though as you may find products that are past the due date for consumption. I purchased a marzipan bar and could not find the due date as it was strategically hidden. After taking off the plastic label, it revealed an expiry date of Dec. 2017! The chocolate was dry and inedible. Cheeses are cheaper, but once again, may have already expired.

The worst place to go sell expired cheese from 2 month. Look other commant the do the same. I gonna see if i can do something again this shop

My husband and I were in the area for the weekend with some friends, and we wanted some milk and cheese to bring back to the hotel. Milk tasted sour, expiration was fine though.
