I am wondering why our experience vary so much from others, so I thought I would balance it out a little. Also, we had done quote comparisons with some major providers and nobody was able to beat the price.

It was great, until I found my rates continuously increasing, never decreasing, never staying the same and the insurance company never changing. I asked my agent there last fall if they actually shop around for the best rate and I was told yes and that this is the best. I found insurance through TD for over $700/year less on my own, no broker so I switched in October. When I sent in my cancellation email I was informed that low and behold she found a policy that would decrease my yearly payment by right around $700. So basically you have to leave, or threaten to leave for them to do the work. Yesterday I wrote a cancellation email for my travel trailer insurance that I have brokered through Matheson as I have sold the trailer and she has yet to reply to me on the cancellation or my question. My home insurance is coming due and that will also be pulled out as I can feel like a number elsewhere for less money out of my pocket.

The agent I dealt recently is unproffesional and I cancelled my policies at once and transfer to another company with much better rate and professionalism. I wont recommend Matheson to anybody. Go search other broker but not Matheson.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst insurance broker I have ever dealt with. Constantly getting our policy wrong,spelling our names wrong,sending out the wrong information or not responding to our inquiries.
Their rates turned out to be higher than other insurers and when you try to cancel or not renew they charge you a penalty.
My whole family moved insurance due to their ongoing incompetence.
