My wife and I are the type of people who want to spend as little time as possible thinking about finances and insurance. Almost paradoxically, getting them right is important to us, not least because of the future that we want to provide for our kids, but also because of our goals regarding the support of several charitable organisations. We've worked with Matt for many years now, and he's taken us from having just a vague framework for the future to building a solid investment portfolio for the medium and long terms out of a combination of exempt and public markets, with emergency funds baked into this plan. He's also built an insurance plan for us that complements what coverage that I receive from work. Although we already had a pretty good budgeting foundation before working with Matt, he has provided us guidance and formalisation for our budget that helped us to support all these new investment plans while still maintaining (and sometimes even growing) our household and other near-term financial goals. We highly value how much effort Matt puts into learning about us, and then using this to determine which investments best fit our needs and preferences. He always comes with at least a couple of options, with a wealth of knowledge on their advantages, disadvantages, how they fit into our profile, and is ready with a recommendation if needed. I also really like how Matt is constantly evaluating his own recommendations, sometimes keeping an eye on things that can be done in the future to better grow our investments, and other times determining that markets or products are changing in a way that require changes to past decisions. Matt is flexible, knowledgeable, and makes recommendations in a holistic fashion. And he's a nice guy to boot!

If you are unsure of how the market works or just want somewhere to start then choose Matt. A financial advisor shouldn't just ask if you want high, medium, or low risk investments, they should also show you a path of how to achieve financial freedom and this is what Matt will do for you.

Matt has been excellent so far. Speaks to you in a manor that you can understand. So far he's been a great helping hand with planning my financial future and giving me some options to best suite my needs. I'll update this review further when I've been able to work more in the investing portion of my goals with Matt but I believe he's very knowledgeable on it from our calls and will be able to help out massively there.

I'm over 60 and unfortunately starting over again financially... Matts' advice was priceless. With the help of a comparative spread sheet projected on a large board in the conference room, he explained my options in layman terms.
