★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried to get 3 quotes and never heard back with written quotes. I had to call the main number to follow up (which involved waiting on hold for 45 min). Was told they could not provide auto insurance without a letter of experience from my previous insurance company. I obtained these letters then was told that they wanting specific phrasing used in them. I had to call my previous company back again to request this and they were confused because that is not the intent of a letter of experience. Apparently there is an online database the Johnson agent could have looked at to see my reason for cancellation with my previous company and saved me all the running around trying to get special letters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waited on hold for over 2 hours just to be told that my call could not be completed due to an "unforeseen error". On top of that, their online claims submission is down so I am literally unable to submit a claim.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been a client for nearly 30 years, with No claims. Called to negotiate my rates because EVERY single year my rates were going up. I was paying $435/month for basic house insurance and 2 car insurance policies with PLPD. They would not budge on their price only about $30/year if I raised my deductable.
Made a phone call to get a quote from PC Insurance. Got the same insurance for HALF AS MUCH!!!
After 30 years of loyalty to this company they are now charging me $270 to cancel my policy. This is the best $270 I have ever paid this company.
DO NOT GET INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY.

They don’t contact you about any problems or anything to do with insurance
A banking mistake was made and they had on file that banking info was incorrect but didn’t think to email me or call me just tried to cancel my insurance after like 5 hours in the phone finally got banking info right and decided to let me keep my insurance
Then claims is almost worse not one single call about my claim and in order to get ahold of the I have to call and sit on phone for hours !
Had a rental since my vehicle was in the shop Johnson sent my rental company a message on Jan 11 claiming that they won’t pay past December 31st making me responsible for the 11 days past that I had the rental! Without giving me notice or anything about my rental coming to an end !
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY IF POSSIBLE

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to take a moment to thank both Kelsey and Nicole for their outstanding work in putting together my new auto insurance package. I had continual insurance for 39 years. Unfortunately my vehicle died and I had been without insurance for a year. This seems to be a criminal act with some insurance companies. Possibly they wanted me to continue to have insurance on a vehicle I didn’t own any more? I’m not sure. I also needed to find insurance with partial/occasional business use. An insurance company I’d been with for many years and I still have home insurance with was willing to rate me as a new driver with a policy at almost $4000 a year. (You can be certain I will be switching my home policy away from them as soon as my term is up.) I first contacted Kelsey and then finished with Nicole. These agents were beyond fantastic and I told them I have no idea how they could ever have so much patience. Highly, highly, highly recommended. I ended up getting an amazing insurance package, with occasional business use and at a rate that was the best I’d found. I cannot say enough about my experience with Johnson. YOU GO GURL(S)!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never write reviews however, I am making an exception because Johnson Insurance/Unifund is terrible. DO NOT use them. They are horrendous when trying to deal with any claim.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company will make any tough situation even worse. I have been a customer for years and have never had a good experience, despite the many chances I have given. I have never felt so undervalued as a client, which is insulting considering the incredibly high premiums they charge. Will be switching ASAP.
I would have rated them 0 out of 5 stars if it was an option.
