About Lendrum Eyecare

Ray first joined the Optical industry in 1996 with Shopper’s Optical. Since then, he has gained experience in various corporate and private Optometry clinics in both Canada and Australia as a Licensed Optician, lab technician and as a manager. He graduated from NAIT with a degree in Optical Sciences and received awards for the highest academic achievement in Alberta each year.

Ray is very passionate about providing the best quality of service and products to all patients within their budget, helping everyone to see as best as they possibly can. He enjoys problem-solving, frame repairs and discussing the latest in eye care technology. We are very happy to have him on the Lendrum Eyecare team.

When he is not at work, he is a full-time father and husband, and also enjoys tinkering with and restoring classic video game consoles and computers, watching movies and travelling.

P	Phil on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where to start. I recently decided switching optometry clinics on the recommendation from a friend, who said I should try out Lendrum Eyecare. Let’s just say, I – and you – will not be disappointed. The staff are excellent - helpful and very considerate; this means a lot, particularly during the pandemic where balancing safety with courtesy and service is sometimes tricky. The opticians are excellent; Ray fixed a pair of old sunglasses that didn’t fit on my head and that I lost hope with, and Maddy (along with an optometrist) helped me find the perfect pair of new frames. Dr. Chamoun is the best optometrist I’ve ever had. She gave exemplary care, making me feel at ease while she gave a thorough exam that helped allay some of my optical worries. The people who work at this clinic are gems and the service they provide is top notch. Great job Lendrum Eyecare!

The staff are friendly, helpful and do everything they can to make your experience amazing! Even if you have to try on many, many frames to find your ‘perfect’ pair they are patient and give help when needed! I wouldn’t put mine or my daughters vision care in the hands of anyone else. One day I had an eye that had been leaking for over a month and when I informed Dr. Chamoun she scheduled me in right away. She helped me by being devoted to finding the root cause of the infections. She prescribed an antibiotic to help with the infection (something my GP never did) and recommended some drops that I now don’t want to live without. I highly recommend booking appointments at Lendrum as they truly care about their patients, are extremely professional and thorough.

I had questions about Lasik and she went through my different options so I felt really armed with knowledge. Maddy then helped me pick out my glasses, and helped me find a pair that I wouldn't have picked myself - but I get a ton of compliments on them! Overall I am so impressed with Lendrum Eyecare and will happily continue to support this local business. I will recommend them over and over.

She answered questions and provided solutions about concerns I have been having with my eyes in ways that were clear and easy to understand. I feel like I now have a regular eye doctor for the first time in years. My newest pair of glasses and sunglasses that I got from there are by far the best pairs of glasses that I have gotten and then staff were extremely helpful when picking them out. Dr. Chamoun is fantastic; professional, kind, and so helpful for issues around dry eyes especially. I also got new contacts and went for a fitting, and all of their staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and such a delight to deal with. I even convinced my partner to try them instead of the optometrist he’s been visit his whole life - and he’s a convert! Can’t recommend them enough.
