I shopped in your store on Tuesday May 22, 2018. My sales associate's name was Debbie. I wanted to tell you that I had theeeee best experience working with Debbie. - she listened to my needs, concerns and we laughed together at some of my " body" issues - it was fun and ..... successful !! how cool is that !! I found the perfect dress - plus some accessories too. Debbie challenged me to try items I might not have thought would be good for me - so I actually had to make choices between which dress I loved the best--it was tough - but we together weighed the pro's and con's and came up with the best choice. Thanks Debbie - you were absolutely wonderful to spend the morning with. I have never left Laura disappointed - and have several items in my wardrobe from successful visits to your store. I look forward to future successful adventures. warmest regards Mary Yellen-Boldt.

I've always had a positive experience at Laura Petites but this past Tuesday left a sour taste in my mouth. I work in a customer service industry and understand there are times were we aren't 100% happy and at our best..but we still need to treat our customers as though we are. I went in looking for a dress for a wedding, as I've bought dresses there before and loved them. When I arrived, no one greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there. My sister and I proceeded to find a few dresses to try on and headed for the fitting rooms. We waited for 10 mins looking around the store for someone to help us. Another customer left a fitting room, so with no help in sight, she held the door open and I used that. I absolutely fell in love with one of the dresses I tried on and decided to purchase it. However, much to my dismay I noticed that one half of the hook clasp was missing and there were two spots on the side seam that were coming undone. I proceeded to the register where I politely asked the woman behind the counter if it was possible to see if another store had the dress as it was damaged. She sighed and then said she could give me 10% off. I thanked her and asked her if it was still possible to still see if another store had it and if not then I would take the 10% as I loved the dress and wanted to purchase it. She acted as though it was a major inconvenience. She looked in the computer and said no other store had one. I told her I would take the 10% then as I really wanted the dress. She proceeded to put it through the cash and told me the total. I paused a second as it seemed a bit high but went ahead and paid. This was my mistake. I thanked her and told her to have a nice night. She let out an exasperated sigh and said it was not likely as it was so busy, when the store actually seemed quite quiet. I left the store and the cost of the dress was still bothering me so I looked at my receipt and noticed that the 10% for the damage was not taken off. I went back in to address this and while I waited as the same person helped someone else I noticed her rolling her eyes and sighing exasperatedly at the requests of that customer. Once it was my turn, I approached the counter and held out my receipt and politely said that I had been told that due to the damage to the dress there would be 10% taken off. She very quickly snapped at me 'Well you didn't ask for it.' At this point, I could easily have gotten rude and angry with her (especially given the bad day I had) but I politely said to her 'Actually, I had asked if you could look to see if another store had one and if not I would take the discount as I wanted the dress.' She the proceeded to be short with and tell me that would mean she'd have to refund it and I'd pay for it again...to which I said of course, not a problem. She proceeded with the process with a sour look on her face the whole time. At the end I told her to have a great night to which her response was 'Ya.' I understand we all have our off days and our bad days but in this type of industry, it should not be taken out on the customer. I was very put off by this experience as I'd always had fantastic experiences at Laura before. This may make me pause before thinking of shopping there again.

I am not sure if we just received the staff on a off day but they didn’t seem bothered to help my sister and I. She was shopping for a gown for a special occasion and they made it seem like a chore to help her find a size. I knew my sister would be in between sizes so I asked if they had any other sizes in the back. The lady said she could order it in if it didn’t fit. I told her it was time sensitive. My sister wanted to try on two dresses, she started with the blue dress which was a size 6 and ended up being too big. They had one of the dresses in the window on the mannequin. They suggested if she needed she could try the one in the window. Now comes the time to try the one in the window, I am greeted by two reluctant staff members who are trying to explain to me that β€œwe don’t have the blue one in a 4” but β€œwe have the other one in the window in a 4”. I replied I thought that’s what she was going to do try the one in the window. Another staff memeber says β€œjust get her to try on the 2, so you don’t have to undress the window for nothing”. I told them to just to forget it! We were not greeted on the way out, and why would we be. Clearly we were not welcome in the store to begin with. Thanks for nothing! We took our business else where, Melanie Lynne where they were glad to help us. All smiles, made us feel welcome and even suggested alternative styles!

Terrible customer service. My sister was yelled at because she wanted to do a simple return. It's not the customer's fault if the system makes it hard to make returns. To make things worse, the manager was also part of the problem. Terrible attitude. Bullying someone because they're younger than you is petty. Shame on you.

Worst customer service I ever experienced They need way more experience in customer sevice to get the one star When i went to buy the dress no one was ready yo help they spend more time chatting to each other Anyway I got the dress.. Then after a week i was trying it again with all jewelry and shoes that i got it for the dress i noticed the dress it started to rip where the stitches are in 2 spots and it is very noticeable in the chest . i went there for an exchange the manager looked mad and was looking at the dress and said that must be stretched!! ( it is a stretchable fabric) they didn't have the same size that i want ... I tried bigger size i hoped it will work but i was not my size and even it has same problem I tried different dress but didn't work for me so i asked for a return i didn't have the receipt because i wasn't planning to return it. but i had a picture of it she said that doesn't work and i can do nothing for you!!! I asked her to scan it from my phone but she said no (it worked in different stores!) and not even I can get a store credit! I ended up having the dress that I paid 400$ that doesn't worth it for the bad quality and i can't wear so I went to get another dress .. But for sure not from them anymore again

I was at the store in Bayshore, and upon wanting to purchase a coat, I mentioned that some coats were priced 50.00 less than others for the very same coat and that perhaps they did not have time to mark them all at the same price. A shocker, you pay more 50.00 more for a large size coat than a medium size coat. Plus size clothing should cost more as more material is needed and the cost of labour would account for more. This is simply not right and a very bad practice. Diversity they say, indeed diversity in their prices. Buy large and pay less, buy small or medium and pay more. This makes no sense to me or other women I've spoken to. So, they lost a 200.00 sale and I won't shop in a store that employs such a practice.
