I was able to find very nice dresses for my son's wedding, for me as well as for my mother. People were very polite and helpful. Nice experience. I will definitely return to this store on Merivale Ottawa.

Over zealous security guard - was shopping with my wife and this guard literally followed me inches behind. My wife had liked the coat she tried on, but we were not going to spend the money in such a unwelcoming and and almost accusatory store. We had a much better experience at Laura.

I was looking for two dresses for the weddings I have coming up and came in on a few separate occasions to browse. All of the ladies that had served me at the Bayshore location were incredibly helpful, patient and really listened to what I wanted. I could not have asked for better service and I will definitely be returning when I have other events to shop for.

The women here were absolutely amazing. Went iftwice for a prom dress and for a grad dress, so incredibly helpful and kind helping me with choices and ideas. Will absolutely be going back. They have some amazing dresses and casual wear as well as prom and event dresses. Lived my visit and loved the people there. Thank you!!!

The ladies here were extremely accommodating. I was trying to exchange a defective dress with a complicated receipt and she went out of her way to call the help centre to find the best way to tackle this situation. The St.Laurent mall’s Melanie Lyne’s service is 1000% worse than this. They gave me attitude even when I was purchasing clothes. The Bayshore lady was able to understand me and was very patient. At the end, she ordered the dress and explained to me all the steps she took and gave me all the receipts.

Had a amazing experience here today. My sister was shopping for a dress for a gala and the staff were super helpful. From start to finish this was a amazing experience. We were in the store for no more than two mins., we were greeted, and set up with a change room. Margaret did a amazing job helping my sister find alternative sizes, different styles, and most importantly helping my sister find a dress that she felt absolutely comfortable in. Every staff member made a effort to come by the fitting room chime in on the conversation. I even learnt about a new documentary that is in the works from the manager. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, the first store we went to was not the greatest experience! Thank you so much to Margaret & the whole Bayshore team!

I have never encountered such disrespectful staff in my life until I stepped foot into Melanie Lyne. My friend and her mother frequently shop there and through a recommendation, I decided to give it a try. As a teenager with two other friends trying on dresses and shopping for jewellery and hats, I understood that I was not the targeted demographic, yet I was dismissed as a customer. As Ray Rafi mentioned, the staff were very unwelcoming. They insinuated that I was stealing a barrette because I was wearing one that was "exactly the same" as the one that they were selling despite its generic design sold in numerous big and small chain stores. However, after arduously analyzing the products on their website, I have found nothing with even a slightly similar design to the one I had. Still the staff member persistently devalued my honesty, and endeavoured to question me on how I had got it. I firmly addressed that I had it with me prior to coming into the store, and I had bought it online. Standing a few feet away, she continued to glare at my friends and I as we browsed through jewellery, giving us dirty looks as she crossed her arms in disbelief to our integrity. She would not stop following and staring at us until we completely stepped foot out of the store. There was a hat that caught my attention, and I was debating with myself whether I should buy the hat for its style, or leave because of the staff’s ill manner. I ended up buying the hat, but I don't want to return until I see a noticeable improvement in the staff's behaviour to teenagers. TL;DR: Everybody wants to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin, and Melanie Lyne has some truly magnificent clothing to empower and elevate oneself. My teenage friends and I wanted to shop for accessories, and they completely ruined our friendly ambience with their stoic attitude and constant insinuations of theft despite our efforts to rebut their accusations. For my encounter with a rude staff member, I will personally not be shopping there anymore until I am welcomed. I had a terrible encounter with one staff member, but I believe that each staff member is a representation of their company. At least there are some lavish prom dresses and nice hats.

My wife went into do a return of coats she ordered online and was met by the most helpful store manager she has ever come across. Julie is her name and if you want excellent assistant see her and the great selection of women's clothing . Thanks Julie for your kindness towards my wife.
