Laser Away Ltd. - Winnipeg

Waited there for over half hour til they opened their doors so about 930am. Suppose to be open at 9am Receptionist was nice. Nurse was ok. But came in about 20min later in the room, looked at me and said, "I don't see you having any vein issues". Then explained what each type was or some of the conditions may arise in the future. Dr. Pinette comes in about half hour later in the room. I Am already not feeling good. He says," let me look at you. Then he mentions to me so how did you hear about my clinic. I said," the receptionist called the wrong number so I decided I needed an appointment due to issues I have. Was a good idea I thought. Of course he mentions well she is now booking appointments that she has called the wrong number, he laughs! ? then I'm like ok. But yea I don't see any issues with your legs because it is usually a 4 month waiting period and you should if been referred. So then he says, you should go to a sports clinic one not too far away from here and I'm thinking this is a muskeletol issue so it doesn't have anything to do with us. So I was not feeling good at all after he has this nice lecture with me! I felt unwelcome as if the receptionist was at fault for this appointment. I know she was nice enough to do this for me but Dr. Pinette didn't seem pleasant u guess because I didn't or wasn't goin to pay it was in health that pays 1st appointment. I would never of gone there if this is how cold and frigid he is. I wonder if the other Dr's are ignorant with situations we have with leg or varicose veins. Such a waste of time. He made me wait over an hour when I was there 1st and they came in late to open the office. So upset and mad with this type of Dr's. ??

I saw a nurse, who tried to push numerous products on me, which I had no idea of as I hadn't even been explained what kind of procedure they would like to do. Nor was I visited by Dr. Pinette.. They left me waiting for him for over an hour so in that time I reviewed the google reviews and it seems like I was right: laser Away is notorious for making people wait extensive lengths of time, with little-to-no results, and that they are a cash grab. I waited 4 months for this appointment just to have that happen. The worst part was when I decided I was going to leave, because as I was walking out, I saw Doctor Pinette and a nurse in what looked like a break room, SOCIALIZING!! So you mean to tell me you leave your patients (first time being there, too!) Sit for over an hour while you socialize in the break room? No thanks. I am NOT giving them my money! So on my way home I made a doctor apt with my family physician to re-write a referral letter, but to a different organization. Please take my advice and that of others on here, don't waste your time! (Or money!) **UPDATED REVIEW:** I received a call from Dr. Pinette's office apologizing for the confusion in missing my appointment. I was able to come back and see him that day, at which point him and his staff apologized profusely and did their best to make my visit enjoyable, and fast. I was in and out within an hour and a half from start to finish, which was great timing. I'm glad I gave Dr. Pinette and his staff another chance, because they were very friendly helpful and professional. I look forward to my next scheduled appointment with Dr Pinette and staff in the new year! Thank you Dr Pinette for making it up to me!

I have been attending this Clinic for several years and the doctors and other staff are extremely professional and highly trained. The doctors are available for thorough consultations before, during and at completion of treatment schedules. This is one location that is able to focus on the needs of clients in a respectful and caring manner.

Just an outstanding experience. Have returned several times, and always happy with the results. Your safety is paramount, amazing information to support any concerns, clean, and well organized. Dr Cyr-Hornick is the best in the business.

After two treatments with Heather I am seeing great results with laser and am very happy, no awkwardness and she has a great sense of humor. All in all, Laser Away has a clean environment with high-end machines, the staff have been professional and very informative when trying to figure out a plan. Thanks LA!

Will update ratings again, when I observe improvement in skin. Clean and organized environment. Professional advice.

I booked my appointment with them and then on the day of my appointment, they call me and told me for some reason they can't do my appointment and then they give me next appointment date almost after a month because they didn't have no spots but when my 2nd appointment date arrived they call me again and told me that because of an emergency they can't be able to do the treatment that day as well. They tried to give me another appointment after 2 weeks time but that was limit of my patience and i went to another laser hair removal place. This was the worst experience i had. I recommend to go somewhere, where they care about their customers.

I chose to have some services done at Lazer Away as Dr. Annie used to be my family physician and I have the utmost respect and trust in her! I have always been very satisfied here and would highly recommend Heather as well! She is very efficient and friendly.
