This place is like a hell. The owner is careless person, and only care about money. the people who working in office are not friendly. Moreover, their information about the room and facilities is not correct. The internet service provided by them is even worse than dailup ( so slow). The rooms, Lobby , and halwayes are not clean. The security of the place also is very poor. I have seen a lot of people they were complining about it. Please don't accept thier wrong information by phone or website. The picture in ad is not the real one.

The room and basement are dirty and bad smelly. Wifi barely worked. Location was good. The only thing great was Cafe on street floor, next door.”Mono Cafe”

Never again! If you don't want your stuff stolen or get harassed then don't book or lease apartments here . Really unprofessional. I would give 0 stars.

Stay Away!!! My boyfriend has rented an apartment in 1650 Boul. Rene Levesque west. The management is awful, and the manager( Daniel Li) is the biggest liar, I have seen in my life. First of all, their place rented for long and short term throw airbnb. So you wont find peace there, because those apartment were rented for short term, there were many people in and out, and the visitors throw the parties up to midnight and they make a lots of noise and there is nobody in office you can complain about the massive noise!!! About long term, the owner just want to sign the lease. Please pay attention: If you want to sign the lease: First the electricity bill never comes less than a $100 per month in winter. However, the manager lies about the bill and always says the hydro bill will cost only $50 bi monthly. Moreover, they never fix any problems that occur in your apartment and you should pay for any repair. Furthermore, the owner never listen to complain. The building is very dirty and people who works in the office they are not supportive, and most of the times they are so rude. The washer and drier are more more than other buildings in downtown. You should pay $2.25 for washing and $2 for drier in total $4.25 and you will see your clothes are still dirty. The management is very poor and rude, and if for any reason you have a problem with them, they will de-active your apartment entry door and you wont access to your apartment and you have to call to the police. However, they will lie and say that your entry door had a problem, and they never did anything about it. MORE IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK THE BEDBUGS REGISTRY WEBSITE AS WELL!!!! The only positive about the building that I have to admit is the location of the building is the best. However, the management is the worse. So please talk to some tenant before you move in, please stay away!!!! Check it out some pictures that posted by people that get a room in this place!!!!

It was nightmare. Never ever rent an apartment there! The landlord is unhelpful, rude and aggressive. He only cares about money and would not willing to do anything for you. I feel insulted and humiliated. He is a racist !!!!! Not sure how this place stay in business. The room and hobby are dirty, shady and smelly. It is so hard to reach the landlord. The pics and website are not true... I feel completely ripped off.

Stay away!! It is an Orwellian experience living under these terrible landlords. In my 2 years I had: an 8-month cockroach infestation, 10's of water shutdowns, months of a broken fire-alarm whilst they did construction as well as many maintenance requests ignored. They refused to return my deposit and when I did a lease transfer they tried to sign the person up to another apartment (without even informing her). They took her money for her first months rent and just held onto it without confirming the transfer. I finally had to sue them at the Regie Du Logement to ensure that I get my deposit back and have the law followed RE the lease transfer. These people are some of the worst people I have dealt with in my life - petty, aggressive, punitive, nasty and most importantly - they literally scoff at you when you quote the law.

Worst apartment ever. No hot water in morning. Nasty washing area. Apartment full of rats.

Beware! This property (La Dorchester) is managed by the worst, most unprofessional, and spiteful people imaginable (Jing and Daniel Li). In my time there, they repeatedly ignored repair requests, asked for illegal deposits, and never set up my access to the door intercom to let guests it. They removed the mailboxes without telling anyone. They ripped holes in the wall to do something (never completed when I lived there?) to the elevators, which stopped them from functioning, without telling anyone. They generally never communicated with any of their tenants unless it was to threaten or yell at them. It was basically impossible to get in contact with them by phone, email, or even the office (they were never there). I lived there for 9 months, and there were multiple cockroach sprays and bedbug spraying. I had paint peeling off the wall, a light switch that hung by a wire, and a window that was poorly insulated. Live here only if you hate yourself and love getting scammed out of every cent you own with almost no recourse because RDL is so slow.
