★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried Casbah for the first time tonight and it was the best shawarma I’ve had in ottawa! We’ve been trying shawarma places all over the city but this one takes the cake. Flavourful, fresh, and the chicken was moist. They even let me try a bit of the beef while I was there and next time I’ll be getting that! Its not donair beef like you get at most places, it’s strips of steak and it is so flavourful. Really nice guys and a great addition to the neighbourhood! I’m already craving another shawarma?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ you'd think the reviews are fake because it seems 'too good to be truth' but no, this shawarma is just THAT good! ?? Really happy about this location being so conveniently placed and the presentation of their food so carefully curated. Food was delicious too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came to Quebec from Toronto for the weekend and we saw the ratings for the restaurant and said we have to try it. The server recognized we have never been there also because we didn’t speak French, and he loaded up our food which was amazing as well as gave us baklava and pita for free! What a big heart! Very tasty food and huge portions we will definitely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally we have excellent Shawarma in the Plateau!!! Before La Casbah I'd often drive into Ottawa rather than settle for bad--to-decent shawarma at other places in the neighbourhood. This place is really good and they are super friendly as well. I love that they have a kids shawarma meal that includes juice and fries (with ketchup no less!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down best Shawarma in Gatineau! Juicy meat, fresh toppings, crispy potatoes all at a fair price and good quantity. I also like how they separate stuff so the salad doesn't touch the meat&rice/potatoes that way it stays cold. Great place 10/10 would recommend
