I was so excited about a new restaurant in our area but the experience at Spritz left us unimpressed. Ordinary food at high prices. Terrible service at best. Long wait times to get food. Love the location and the ambiance but that's about it. The owner/manager should learn from the dining experience (food and service) offered by other successful restaurants in the area - and there are so many excellent local examples. What a missed opportunity!

The building is fabulous, lots of high-end details, interior parking with elevator access. The food was top-notch as well. Has a soup of the day, ravioli (one of the best I've eaten) and the apple pizza for desert. Highly recommend the Spritz!

I had a reservation for 7:30 upon arrival was told someone was still at our table just finishing up and it shouldn’t be too long. We had to wait over 30 min for our table and this was even with a reservation. No cutlery had been set at the table once we were seated. After ordering drinks we waited about 20 min until they were served. We then ordered appetizers and our mains. Appetizers were served without cutlery we had to flag someone down for this as our waitress was nowhere to be found. Appetizers were finished but nothing was cleared from our table nor have we been asked how our food was or water glasses filled. We waited an hour and a half and still had not received mains and had not seen our waitress again. We spoke with someone at the front of the restaurant about the poor experience and still waiting for our food, they said they would check on our food. Our waitress finally came by when manager was clearing our plates asking how everything was going, and our waitress had neglected to put in our order! This was at 9:50, over two hours past our original reservation and over an hour and a half after being seated. We received no apology from our waitress nor did she improve her service which was absolutely deplorable. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the food is decent but the service is deplorable. Having a reservation seemingly means nothing and the service leaves everything to be desired. I’ve read multiple reviews with an eerily similar experience from a month ago. One would expect to see improvements but I can guarantee none have been made. Staff still remains some of the worst I have ever experienced.

Made reservations for 9pm in the lounge section, only to get there and be told to wait cause people at our table hadn’t left. Half an hour later, I talk to the hostess who freaks out cause she had forgotten about us. We ended up at a corner table in the dining section, which is fine.. However at this point, the kitchen was very low in stock and we were limited with what we could order. Waited another 45 minutes just for a few entrees. Food is okay, not the best. Like everyone else here, I would say it’s a little overpriced for the quality, especially when you pay the same price of an entree on a tiny dessert portion that’s not even decadent. We really enjoyed the drinks and the overall ambiance.

Finally! A real restaurant in my neighborhood. Welcome to the Plateau. I did not have a reservation so I had to be seated at the bar. However, not a minus at all, as it was actually very comfortable. The food was great and even though the music was a tad too loud to my taste, the money spent on acustic panels was money well spent. I suffer from severe tinnitus and can't survive 5 minutes in a regular sportsbar but the sound level at Spritz this particular evening was very tolerable despite a lot of conversation across the room. I'll be back for sure.

Lots of missed opportunities here. I won't be coming back, that's for sure. The owners should be embarrassed, because no-one there knows what they're doing. The food isn't good, and certainly isn't Italian nor modern, or interesting, for that matter. But the presentation is straight out of the 80's. I did want to try it for myself before posing a judgement. The staff is embarrassing, not taking care of anyone but the liquor bottle they were doing shots with like they were at a college bar. disgusting macho ambiance. The service was awful and I've never felt like this going in.a restaurant, being a paying customer. This is a severe problem in a restaurant that just opened. There is some heavy lifting to do, and most likely a consultant should be hired in order to straighten this place up, and change the menu altogether. If you advertise modern Italian cuisine, you serve MODERN ITALIAN cuisine, it's that simple. A change of staff would be a good idea, because the current one would be better customers than servers. The only positive point I have is that the building is nice and has potential.

We read the bad reviews of this place a few weeks ago and had avoided going since, but we live quite close and went with friends today. We were very pleasantly surprised, especially for a random Wednesday afternoon. We were four adults and two toddlers - they didn’t have any booster seats, which, to an extent, this is a finer-seeming dining spot, but at the same time, you’re in a very family-centric suburb, so at least have a few seats around? Anyways, we set up ourselves and our strollers on the patio, got some drinks (the namesake drink didn’t seem like it was that good), spilled one - staff was good about cleaning it up - and then grabbed starters and mains. The starters came out quickly - fries for the kids, which were perfect and piled high, with spicy mayo and a really neat lemon mayo on the side. Calamari weren’t too bad, but the octopus was fantastic - well-cooked but short of chewy, with some greens on the side. The mains took much longer for some reason, even though it was just two pizzas and a pasta, but when they came out they were also quite good. The sauce in particular was a favourite - first, they didn’t skimp, but it was also nicely salty. The crust was perfect too. Almost forgot to mention, halfway through we asked for an extra table to be added for the kids, and for them to move the seats around for us. All done with no issues or complaints. The service was great, if not overly attentive (had to ask for more napkins a while after our drink spilled, for example). Again, random Wednesday afternoon, so pretty impressive. Price-wise, it’s relatively expensive. If the food and service stays good, it’s almost justified. Otherwise, each dish is about $5-10 more than you’d expect to pay at a standalone (non-franchised) suburban restaurant. We’ll definitely be going again though, it’s a great place to have close by in the neighbourhood.

My boyfriend and I visit this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was a great experience. We were seated in a timely manner, service was nice. In fact, as we were looking for the entrance of this restaurant, it was a bit chilly and in a dress I was rushing to find the closest way in. We approached three employees for direction and one lady decided to escorted us to the doorway. It was very polite of her and that's something that made a great start to our experience. The lamb was cooked amazing, tender almost like butter, flavors were nice. We also had the ravioli, which sadly to say wasn't the best. Lacked flavour and over cooked. The pink shrimp appetizer was amazing but over priced for 5 shrimp...around $5 per piece! Ambience is nice, their lounge upstairs is a classy bar with elegant decor. Will need to explore next time, we will be back!
