★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were debating where to get dinner in byward market where there are so many great options but so glad we decided to come to the grand pizzeria. We made just in time for their happy hour which is a fantastic deal. $5 draught beers and half off select pizzas. Couldn't ask for a better deal! They have a great selection of beers and to get such good beers for $5 is pretty awesome. We got the mushroom pizza and pesto pizza and both were absolutely delicious. They got their famous dipping sauce which is made in house and that took the pizza experience to the next level. That sauce is so amazing that I stopped by next day and bought it to bring it back home. Service is super nice and the staff are really friendly. We got our food and drinks very promptly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Grand is a favourite restaurant of mine as it caters to allergies, it has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten free. Tried the Gnocchi Poutine with vegan (cashew) cheese - really enjoyed it - quite filling. Also had the Vegan Leek and Mushroom Ravioli - it did not disappoint. Kids had pizza with vegan cheese - My only frustration was the long wait and it wasn't too busy. I asked for some bread to keep the kids happy and it never came (even after asking a second time) - there was also an error on the pizza toppings. Amazing location in the heart of the Byward Market and large patio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner at the grand dueing our visit to Ottawa. It took about 45 mins of wait to get seated on the patio. Our server was very slow and took forever to take the order and get us the food. We even saw a few other tables who came after us got their food way before we did. The pizzas and pastas were good and served hot which made up for the service. Hopefully on a different day would have had a better experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great restaurant for Italian flavours. The staff is hospitable and positive. The queue outside the restaurant was long but luckily they checked smaller groups (like my wife and me) and we got a table quickly.
We ordered a pizza and pasta. The pizza was wood fired and it was amazing. The dough, sauce and the vegetables were of a great quality. Kudos to the chef ?? for the awesome pizza.
The pasta on the other hand has some scope for improvement. The rigatoni should have been boiled for a few minutes longer since it was crunch. The chicken needed some additional flavour. I would suggest to make the chicken optional because the sauce and other ingredients were perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After trying most things on their menu, I’ve decided that I’ll only return for the pizza. Recently we had the calamari as an appetizer which was well seasoned but could’ve been served with a more interesting sauce. The pizza is always a hit and you can get certain ones for 1/2 price with any drink - doesn’t have to be alcoholic! Love the unlimited hot sauce and parm as well. Service needs improvement though - our server took almost 20 minutes to bring us our bill. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and I saw 3 servers just standing around chatting...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice patio but was too hot to air outside. The tables inside were cramped. The servers was helpful and pleasant. The drink specials before 6 were a nice touch. Next time will get the sangria pitcher for sure. The pizza was yummy as was the boneless chicken bites.

Served the best pizza I have ever had! I will definitely be going back again.
It is on the higher end, price wise, but definitely worth going. The also have "Market hours between 1500-1800, where most menu items are 50% off. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Byward Market
