★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We carried a mortgage with Interior Savings and were not informed of their inability to port their mortgages to another province. Life took us in an unexpected direction and we had to move one province over. Interior Savings charged us a full mortgage payout even though we would have happily ported our mortgage to our new home had they had the ability. They allowed no grace on the payout penalty even though they were the ones with the service limitation. We would never have done business with them had we known they were so limited and unreasonable. It was a HUGE expense for us.
Update; The branch manager did end up reaching out to us personally and offered a small concession. It wasnt enough but it was appreciated that an effort was made.
