Went to other auto shops, they charge ridiculous amount of miscellaneous fees. Good thing i did my research. HTV is really THE BEST auto shop you can ever find in metrotown area. Kudos to Trong, Ben and Lotus. Thank you and surely be back if needed.

I've used Truong a couple of times now. My impression of him is integrity and honesty. Very good qualities to have in any business. First time I was shopping around for quotes for a big dent on the rear left side door of my Toyota Corolla. Truong's quote was the lowest I received and he had the best reviews on Google. I thought I'd give him a shot. Truong's guys replaced the metal skin and re-did the painting. I got my car back in a short turnaround and looking just like it did before! Keep up the good work Truong!

The front corner of my loyal Toyota Tercel had been damaged in a hit and run. I brought it in to HTV Autobody and Tron looked after everything. I received competent, efficient, courteous service at a fair price, what more could you want?. His office wall is full of diplomas, I think this guy is over-qualified!. I'm glad I discovered this business, highly recommended.

UPDATE: I had initially given HTV a 5 star review based on cost of repair, repair time and what I thought was a good deal, but this is probably a more appropriate and accurate rating. Backstory, approximately 2 yrs ago, I needed a 4" - 6" crack in my bumper repaired after I hit a ditch. After visiting at least 4 of the big name ICBC shops, I was told that a repair could be done but was not advised and would not be guaranteed as the site of the crack would reappear with temperature changes between summer and winter and they all recommended that the bumper be replaced. I was on a limited budget and found HTV based on the Google reviews. After speaking with Truong/Tong (sp) he assured me that he had a repair technique that was superior to what mainstream shops use, would guarantee the work and the cost was considerably less than what I had been quoted before. The repair seemed flawless; however, the bumper was never installed perfectly aligned which when I brought to Truong/Trong's attention he claimed with was a flaw in the mounting brackets used by the manufacturer. It wasn't terrible but a reasonably trained eye could spot the misalignment but being naive I took it at face value. 2 winters later and voila the CRACK REAPPEARED. I took it back to HTV and was told that it was new damage and could not be a result of poor workmanship and repair despite it being in the EXACT same spot as previous with no visible sign of impact or damaged to support his claim. He refused to repair it as part of his guarantee and to add insult to injury quoted $850 repair almost twice what it cost to repair the first time. I showed him the receipt and you could see he was visibly embarrassed to be caught and try to chalk it up to increased shop cost. Coincidence? I think not. Classic "too good to be true" sales pitch with a worthless "verbal guarantee." my naivity was my own fault. I've since taken it to an accredited shop and had the bumper replaced, which fits perfectly which is odd because Trong said there was a design flaw. Draw your own conclusions but I wouldn't be doing business with this shop a little shady like non descript used car sales shop in an alley way. I've included pictures of the original damage, and pictures of how it progressively reappeared after repair and also the misalignment from original repair.

I've had my vehicles taken care of by HTV for some years now. Super nice guy and quality of work is top notch! Highly recommended!

Got my car battery replaced yesterday from HTV. Trong did free diagnostic, installation of battery in less than 30 mins. Previously I tried reaching with 1- Canadian Tires (1st time lady said we dont have battery, following day they said we do have battery you can buy and replace yourself, when asked for book an appointment kept me on hold for 15 mins and then they disconnect- very bad customer service) 2. Applewood Nissan Richmond - Told me a nice story on phone. We will do a diagnostic first which will cost around $150-$180. Then we see where the problem is. Normal battery will cost $240+Tax. You can do the math. Big companies are only there to make money. Small shops still make a difference in our llife. Support them.

I have been going to HTV auto and Truong for the past 6 years. He is my go-to mechanic, first choice by far. Truong is what you would call an "honest mechanic" he does the work that you expect, and if he notices any other issues, he will inform you right away, BUT he won't try to up-sell you. What he will do is tell you what needs to be done now, and what can be done in the future, and he will give you a time frame when that extra work needs to addressed. this is great because it gives you, the customer time to figure out your finances for any future work . Alot of other places don't do this, they will charge you right off that bat, and say "it had to be done" this is not the case with truong, his experience will tell you other wise. Cost of labour and parts is fair. cheaper compared to dealerships. thanks HTV for the years of service.

I brought in my 2016 Honda HR-V for some Autobody work on the bumper. It is so refreshing to see local businesses care about the customer. These guys are professional and the owner very helpful and polite. It turns out I had to replace my battery too. You guys saved me from being potentially stranded somewhere and my car and I are happy. AAAA+ rating!
