Showed up 10 minutes before closing to deposit a cheque and the doors were locked, but the tellers were at their station, and the lights were on. I tapped on the window and a woman came out to say they closed thirty minutes ago, contrary to the writing on their door and Google. I called their 1-800 number and again confirmed closing times and filed a complaint. I had committed to depositing that cheque for a client by end of day and to see the lazy branch staff closing early was bad enough, but to have that (Insert expletive) staff member lie to my face was extremely frustrating. Heading back tomorrow to cancel all accounts and complain directly to a manager. What a joke. Avoid this branch and bank.

I don't know why there's such low reviews for this branch, but I found the service friendlier and faster than the branch in Burnaby (Crystal Mall). As other reviewers have mentioned, yes, there is a lot of security just to log in or check things with your account. But I don't mind it at all. I needed two pieces of ID and a passcode that was on my file to make a few changes to my account. No biggie! I would rather a bank with extra security precautions than slack. As for them treating you badly if you aren't $$$, for my case it isn't true. I look like a hot mess in the mornings when I head to the bank, and wasn't treated any differently. My account is modest and I don't have any investment products with them. ****One star off for the fees. Transferring from one's personal account to another online was like a $1 or $2 fee. Why should one be charged for transferring money to yourself within the same bank?

Unprofessional and incompetent staff, will never deal with this bank again. Relationship Manager Jade Chan doesn't know her own bank operation. Spent nearly 3 hours opened an account that could do nothing that was agreed and misled us to believe what is in fact infeasible. We have to spend another 30 minutes to come to the bank to close it.

Literally the worst customer service I thought a bank could provide. Scammed me with unforeseen fees and were completely unapologetic.

An employee (from back office) will yell at you and suspect and disclose your personal information at the front line counter, prefect! What the HSBC customer service in Canada!
