Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edson, an IHG Hotel

Even though this hotel is located on the east bound part of Hwy 16, it is a very quiet hotel. We have stayed here before and love it’s quietness both in the lack of traffic noise and lack of hallway noise… you could easily sleep in till noon if you wanted to. The beds were great even for someone like me who has lower back problems. Everything was clean as could be. Staff was professional yet friendly, very helpful. We will be staying here again!

Check your credit card cause we were over charged. I called to ask why and was told this is industry standard they charge the deposit plus the room and 4 or 5 days after they will refund the deposit. I understand that a card is used for the deposit, it is a hold on those funds to insure the cost it is not actually charged through over and above.

All the staff and manager were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy.

Rooms are nice, the front desk was friendly but not very helpful, I asked them to turn the heat up in the pool area and they replied with sorry there's nothing we can do. The next day I asked maintenance and they turned it up. So basically the front desk was to lazy to go and talk to maintenance lol wow

Tried calling on three different occasions throughout the day to book two rooms. The person on the other end could not understand me, trouble taking down my name. Eventually I asked for him to just hold the rooms as we would be there that night to which he agreed and assured me he would do. Show up later that night only to find out that was not happening. Ended up staying at the Ramada, very friendly and a much better parking lot.

Everything to do with our stay was perfect. The beds are super cozy, the room is very sound proof, the pillows are comfy. Hot breakfast is a nice change, due to covid and all the other hotels just having cold grab and go breakfast

We stayed here for a hockey tournament weekend. There was multiple teams in the hotel. So it was busy. From the day we first called to book until the day we checked out the front desk staff were terrible. They were rude, wouldn’t honour the agreed group rate and argued with everyone. They insisted because they were busy is why they increased the rate. It was busy because multiple groups chose to stay there for the same event. They were not organized and had all the groups split up around the hotel. It was a poor experience. Parking wasn’t sufficient either. Checked Covid vaccine status for breakfast but told us they wouldn’t do it for the pool. So they kept the pool to 10 people max and had to book your time. But then let the first people with one group that checked in book all the times for the weekend. When we called the week before to ask if booking the pool was necessary we were told no. It’s no problem. Well that was a lie. Tried to over charge me on checkout and if I wasn’t on the ball and argued they would have gotten away with it. Still payed more than what the group rate was and there was no care given to being an ihg member or AMA member. Just tried getting every cent they could. Just poor customer service. Room was clean and comfortable. We are back in Edson for another hockey weekend in February and will be staying away from this location.

Super friendly staff and great service. Very clean and spacious rooms, pool , hot tub, and fitness centre right at site. A varied selection for the included breakfast and lots of close by food options for other meals.
