I am not a golfer myself but like us all have many friends who are. However in occasionally l shop at Golf Town for short, sports shirts and accessories. Amazing choice of high end merchandise that is difficult to find elsewhere. Prices are reasonable considering it is high quality items. However, there are always bargains too. Items are periodically on sale - do check and look out for the bargains. Friendly staff. Recommended most highly.

Terry Woods - Club Fitter. I had a club fitting for a Driver this week with Terry Woods. He was Outstanding. He took the time to analyze my swing, and suggested that I move from a Senior flex shaft to a Regular one, given the Tempo of my swing. This proved β€œspot on” as I saw immediate results using a Driver with a Regular shaft. This despite the prevailing view that Seniors with slower swing speeds revert to Senior flex shafts. Thank you Terry!

I believe this is Golf Town's flagship store in Canada and the service here is outstanding! Big shout out to Big Larry for his continual professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality. I was in to get my hybrid reset as the club head came off and Larry was able to get it turned around in time for my next golf round. He also helped my wife and I with recommendations on club shafts. If you need anything related to your golf clubs please look for Big Larry!

Dropped in to pick-up a few grips today April 13 at approx. 4:00p. Went to the parts/service desk where I stood there for a few minutes while a gentlemen plugged away on a keyboard, trying to be invisible. I guess he realized his super powers weren’t working and finally asks if I needed help? Odd, I guess I’m the only person to stand in line and wait for assistance. I said yes, and that I needed a few grips. He then says he is off and he cannot help. I guess I should’ve used my telepathic power to know this, but my super powers weren’t working as well. He then says a name and tells me he is around the corner doing a fitting and I could ask him for help. I knew I wasn’t going to get far with this guy, so off I go looking for help. The icing on the cake is he then asks me if sub-total is before tax, so I did him the service which he clearly did not provide me and told him yes. I walked around a bit and find another gentleman and I asked him for help. He stared at me like a deer caught in headlights! Another gentleman heard my question and asked what type of grips do I need, finally someone who could help. I asked for the Pure and Lamkin Crossline standard. He said there was no stock of the Pure, but would check for the other. He checked and came back to advise they were out of stock. I asked if he had the mid-size and he said yes, went to the back room and got them for me. At this point I was grateful to finally get my simple ask done and quickly went to pay. As I was about to check out, I reviewed the grips and realized I was given the corded standard, I am just not having any luck. I advised the gentleman who was going to check me out of the error, and of course the customer service behaviour does not fall far from the tree at this location, and he proceeds to tell me I can go back and ask for the right ones! At this point I was done, not mad, but disappointed. I don’t want to broad brush the entire staff at this location, but clearly there needs to be a stronger emphasis on product knowledge and customer service. My usual location I purchase from is Appleby and have never had issues.

I enjoy playing golf and end up at GolfTown monthly. It is a very pleasant shopping experience. The staff are helpful and try to accommodate one’s needs. Generally, a good selection of items. However, you won’t find any significant deals here. Prices are top of the line. One downside is that the golf simulator is rarely working. I also understand that the staff is not qualified to perform a serious golf fitting. I have bought 2 clubs there(+$700 each) and there was no discussion about whether these clubs were suitable for my game. And again the golf simulator was not working. If you want a proper swing analysis and club fitting go to Golf Tec. If you know what you want Golf Town is a great shop.

Went in to buy a set of new irons. I am not the greatest golfer in the world but I am working on my game. I was greeted by an employee named Rob and he helped me out. Brought me into the Simulator and saw I was in trouble. After getting which shaft I needed he explained why my shots were going so far right and how I could fix it. I went to the range with his advice that same day and started to get to work. Rob advice was bang on. Thanks
