★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father was about to go and spend 600 dollars on a new family computer after our refurbished one we had bought from Gizmos years ago wasn't working. He decided to go back to Gizmos and see if their was anything that could be done. The man their was super friendly and knowledgable. He figured out that it was overheating, spent time removing dust out of the computer, and taught him how to properly maintain it. He didn't even chrage him for anything. It's very rare to find people this genuine nowadays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn't go anywhere else in Victoria-area for repair or upgrade. Nobody does it better, or is more reasonable about price than Gizmo's.
They don't jerk you around or try to upsell you stuff you don't need.
He's won best electronics repair store multiple years in a row for a reason.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic service. My cat knocked a cup of water on my laptop which fried it. Thought I lost everything but I called gizmos and they said bring it in we'll see what we can do. Greg was very knowledgeable and kind, he started working as soon as I got in there. He was able to save all my files and I was out the door in 20 minutes. Great price too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A short but unlucky fall left my laptop's hard drive inaccessible. After combing through reviews, I landed on Gizmo's, recognizing some of the names that vouched for them. Couldn't have made a better choice.
I brought the laptop in just before midday, and overheard Greg at the Goldstream location speaking with another customer, a self-professed "not tech savvy person". He was able to follow a tangled maze of iPhone/USB-/very old Windows 7 laptop interoperability, give good, clear advice, and refused to let her waste her money on needless tweaks. It inspired immediate confidence.
He took my laptop, was very clear about what the potential problems might be, what he would be able to do, and what was doable, period. No upselling, no smoke and mirrors. He said he would get to it before end of day; by 2 p.m. my laptop was fixed and at an unbelievably reasonable cost. He left me with a well-deserved "backup, backup, backup!" admonishment and gained a customer for life.
