Get Well Medical Clinic - Calgary

They wouldn’t listen to me. Kept telling me to go too the hospital. I had chest pains and went in. They refused to treat me and told me to get to a hospital. I knew it was pneumonia because, I’m acceptable to pneumonia. They said I’m covid positive and to get to a hospital. Doctor never even saw me. That was the receptionist. I recommend not ever going to this place if you are a walk in patient.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS CLINIC! GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I have been a patient with Dr. Sumathili Sundararajan for several years, I followed her to her new clinic, Get Well Medical. Throughout this time the patient care and clinic service has declined drastically. 1.I have been misdiagnosed multiple times and given incorrect treatment for a condition I did not have. I strongly suggest getting a second opinion to ANY diagnosis they give. 2.They will call you and ask you to come in for every single test result regardless if the result is normal or not. They will not wait till all your lab work and test are in to cover them in the same appointment. Not to mention they will lie and say they have all your results just to get you through the door. 3.When you try to advocate for yourself they talk over you and do not let you finish. I did not feel heard, I did not feel listened to and most importantly I was not respected. 4.The entire appointment feels rushed, they talk quickly and you feel as if they are trying to get you out as quickly as possible. How can I expect accurate and quality medical treatment if they rush through seeing patients? 5.They have no respect for your time. You will wait hours for your appointment, don’t even bother trying to walk-in you will wait even longer. They overbook themselves to an absurd degree. 6.They have mis-scheduled both mine and my family’s appointments which required us having to wait even longer to reschedule a correct time. 7.If you have a phone consult do not expect it to happen at the scheduled time or even the scheduled day. Lately every appointment has ended with my frustration, disappointment and wondering how they are still open. Let my experience be a warning. Please go elsewhere and don’t bother with Get Well Medical Clinic.

I will start first mention Dr. Dan wonderful and professional, he will listen to you, won’t rush you, and take your symptoms serious! (Unfortunately He is not our Family Dr.) really if u are his patient congrats you found gold! And if google would allow me to him 1000+ Stars I WOULD! Dr. Robert, is all the opposite, Robert u should find a job that makes you happy. Dr. Suma, no complaints about her, profesional, We didn’t have any problem with her. But … Then why 1 star? For me my time is important, according to my appointments “ahead” I plan my day. But here is no possible to do that and made me frustrated. My highest waiting time was 1h and 40 min. + 30 min with the Dr. And it was scheduled a week before. I live 10 min away from the clinic, my appointment was 12:30 pm they called me around 12ish saying if I can make it in 10 min because a patient been cancel her appointment. I rushed to arrived within 10 min. And they had me wait till 1:15 pm. A second time happened again but asked them before “will the Dr. See me as soon I reach there? or I have to wait and I told them what happen the first time receptionist didn’t care what I say she just told me Ok be here in 10 min! And because that experience We decided no to go there. Dr. Dan and Suma are professionals? Yes they are Are they worthy to wait more than one hour? That’s totally up to you!

I had a worth experience at this clinic with Drs and staff. They gave me the wrong medicine . Several time for 6 month i went there and every time they got test and ... and different medicine and last time i went and my family physician (Dr sumathili) wasn't available like normal , so has to meet Dr Dan , he gave me antibiotics and after a week they called me and i was said it was wrong antibiotic ?you can't blieve that what happen on me ??? I started new one and after 3 days i got more sick .can't blieve I couldn't cope with pain and discharge so i went there as a walk in and emergency and the staff said sry we can't do anything and we are fully book on weekends ?i said i demand that please help me and she said sry go to hospital ???. It is one the story of them .really becarefull

My parents went there and the doctors were great. But the front end people were horrible and rude to them. As a company they suck as well - my parents decided to go somewhere else due to this and Get Well have decided to badger them two months after moving to pay a fee for transferring reports. So much for HealthNet and AHS reports online lol. Welcome to corporate health - $$$ over people.

I would give this place zero if I could, it's absolutely the worst clinic in the city probably. I only called by accident today and the receptionist was so rude and kept cutting me off. Kept putting me on hold without asking. I went her for me prenatal care and literally waiting 3 hours for an "appointment" to be told I wasn't booked for a prenatal and they didn't have "room" to accommodate me. Hence why I only accidentally called thinking it was a different clinic.

Dr Suma and Dr Dan really care for their patients. I would highly recommend as I have never felt so well taken care of and understood. They take the time with their patients and I’ve been on both sides of the short wait time and long wait time and it is totally worth it. I’ve been going here for years and would continue to even if I moved out of Shawnessy.

I just want to start off by saying the Doctors here are fine, some are even great. However, the front staff are SO incompetent it ruins the whole clinic. I really hope they figure out new staff or new training because at this point it's pretty horrible and this is after a number of experiences. If you can go to another clinic, I would even if it meant waiting a little bit extra. However, if you must go here you will likely receive quality care from the Doctors just be prepared to have EXTRA patience for the front staff.
