★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most unwelcoming Church, we tried to get my son baptized here after calling, waiting a couple weeks before the home visit team scheduled us in. The home visit went well and she was very welcoming I called a couple days later to schedule our attendance in the baptism class. I was informed that our marriage since it was civil was not valid. I understand that since it was not performed in the church and even though we are both catholics it is not recognized. The issue I have is with the office manager (different than the home visit) who repeatedly told me my marriage isn't valid and my son is at risk, with each sentence getting more and more negative. I told her we will call back at a later date since I no longer wish to continue the conversation and I understand what she is saying. She however kept pushing telling me my marriage is not valid, wouldn't let me end the conversation until ten minutes later when I was very upset. I understand that civil marriages aren't recognized in the Catholic Church however it was the tone and manner that the woman spoke to me that I found abhorrent. We have since arranged for our sons baptism at a different church who couldn't have been more welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ St Patrick's is a great Parrish. It has a devoted congregation as well. Fr Jerome is an incredible speaker with so much passion and conviction and belief in the word of God. Every mass is said with great reverence and the sermons never disappoint. Whether it's daily mass or the weekend mass every one is special. Lapsed Catholics would do well to get back to the church and St Patrick's is a great place to be.
