About Acadia Medical Clinic & Walk-in Practice
Dr Joan Odiagah is a family physician, born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and after practicing for a few years, went on to do her residency at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. She then relocated to Canada with her family.
She worked as a family physician in the beautiful town of Assiniboia, Saskatchewan for three years, where she also provided emergency and hospital care, as well as geriatric care, and then moved to Calgary in 2019.
Dr Odiagah is passionate about making a positive impact in the health and lives of her patients of all ages and works with them to achieve their health goals. She also enjoys chatting with people and brings her experience and expertise of managing acute and chronic disease conditions.
When not working, she loves cooking, reading novels and having family and friends over. She enjoys going on walks and is being inspired to learn tennis by her husband and two gorgeous daughters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been seeing Dr Simon for years since before he came to this clinic. I use to be able to book an appointment as early as the same day or at least the next day but now I have to usually do walk in or book an appointment a week or more in advance he is an excellent dr and very thorough but since it has become Acadia medical I find the wait times unacceptable and may have to look elsewhere

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t really understand the point of having a phone if no one answers. I called 4 times and my boyfriend did the same over the course of 2 hours and no answer. They have not sent his prescription to the pharmacy and it ran out 3 days ago, and now they won’t even pick up the phone so we can remind them to send it over. I’m sure everyone works hard and is friendly here, but this is a little much for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived about an hour before their scheduled closure time as my daughter needed to see a physician (walk-in). Was asked to wait over ten minutes while reception reached out to the doctor. Despite the office appearing empty, my daughter was refused medical service because they had "too many patients." I have never been refused medical treatment ever before. Despicable. Had to go to Urgent Care because a doctor didn't want to risk going a few minutes past their closing time.
Come here for doctors who put preference toward their own convenience over the health of walk in patients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Tack how everyone calling him in clinic are awesome. He actually doing what everyone should do,but unfortunately don't. He called you after getting results from testing and immediately based on that test sending you forward to prevent possible issues. Having one time per year General checks on your health and it's sad to say that this kindness and very professional behavior is more and more rare. I will give him 10 stars if is there a option. Me and my wife was lucky to find such a awesome doctor for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been seeing Dr Joan Odiagah at this clinic for one year now. She is a wonderful Dr who is caring, compassionate and obviously very knowledgeable. When my son was very sick in ICU she called me everyday as I was falling apart. I recommend this Dr and clinic.

I had to wait over 1 hour and 45 for a doctor to see my 3 year old daughter. This is unacceptable. When I arrived they explained to me that it would take up to 45 minutes and I accepted it, but almost 2 hours? They should be more considerate knowing that I am with a small child. meanwhile, they were laughing next to us, in the next office. When the doctor came to see my daughter at 12:35 it took 3 minutes!!! 3 minutes to say that she just needed a pedyalite. she didn't even suggest doing a test to find out exactly why my daughter has been throwing up for 3 days. I feel very disappointed, because as a mother I hope to receive a better medical service for my children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been seeing Dr Simon at this clinic for more than 5 year now. I know Dr Simon from his old clinic . He is a wonderful Dr Who is caring compassionate and obviously very knowledgeable. If Dr. Simon needs to spend extra time with his patient he does. That is the care I enjoy talk to him. He is thorough and truly cares about his patients. I drive a long way to get such exceptional care,. I have not had such a good doctor in many years cares about his patient if I need appointment to see Dr Simon in covid time as I work 7 day I can't do it as in clinic To see Dr Simon as I need any consultation he call me and he did it on phone I never forget when he call to ask about me how I am doing after I had an accident
The ladies working there are also fantastic and go the extra smile all Time even if busy ! when I call and ask for appointment she try to book me as fast I can see the Dr .He is the best doctor I had seen. special thanks for Dr Simon and his team in Acadia Medical clinic
