★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now that I'm closing in on 60 I've become more conscientious about my health. I've gone to my family doctor and had a physical and some tests but the one thing I could not get from him was a good "read" on how my heart health is doing. It turns out that most of the "tests" they can do through the medical system really only work at the "heart attack imminent" stage (or worse). I thought "There has to be someone who can actually tell me how my heart is doing TODAY" so I did some research and found Diamond Fernandes and Heart Fit Clinic. I went there and was finally able to get the information I wanted. They did my assessment and mostly everything is "in the green" but a few were at the top end of their respective ranges so I have some things I should work on. I REALLY want to live long enough to meet my great-grandkids and now, with the information from Heart Fit, I can proactively go to work getting to an optimal level of health for my age. Diamond gave me a list of things to do and with regular monitoring and testing at Heart Fit, I'm confident I'll be around for quite a while yet. Thanks Diamond!

If you have had heart disease the Clinic also offers cardiac rehabilitation programs geared to strengthening your heart and getting you back on track to enjoy a healthier lifestyle even if you have additional health issues. No one can deny the patience, warmth and caring of the staff. They are passionate about what they do and this is evident in their daily interactions with patients. The staff are caring, friendly, and experienced, and do a wonderful job at monitoring and keeping up with patients and their health. They provide the most comprehensive and essential health assessments that are not available through standard primary health service. One of the most amazing parts is that the staff will be with you each step of the way through navigating your heart health.
It definitely shows that the staff is taking what they are passionate about and cultivating it into practice that will help many Canadians. I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone who wants to prevent a heart event, who is on the path of a heart event or anyone who has existing heart disease - what I learned at the clinic is the more you know about your health the more power you have to stay healthy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I believe this clinic is helpful to some, for us it was not. We enrolled for the level 2 assessment which was $2000+. We had several appointments but realized it was not in our best interest to continue. My husband has other medical issues which were not considered in the context of how they impacted his cardiac status and vice versa. They did not have access to his medical records which is important in treating someone with a complex history. They did recommend a number of supplements but again, we were unsure if there would be adverse effects due to the other issues.
The appointments we did have were on time; the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating.
