Stephanie Wold was amazing, great customer service and super helpful. My first set of glasses with progressive lens. Will definitely keep going back to FYI Doctors in Grande Prairie.

I lost my glasses last night and FYI got me in first thing in this morning and hooked me up with contacts!! I also have a same day appointment for an eye exam for new glasses!! I'm blown away!! Big thank you to them and shout out to Steph for being awesome and treating me so good!! 5 stars for sure!! ?

Always have had a great experience with this place. Gets you in, in a timely manner. Always so kind and respectful. All staff are patient, empathetic and fulfill your needs to the best of their ability. All doctors and staff are super knowledgeable. Would highly recommend FYI doctors.

I’m writing this to warn other people about the possible cleanliness issues at this facility. I’ve had mainly positive experiences here but I don’t think it was coincidental that after leaving here after an eye appointment, my eye obtained a stye/inflammation on two separate occasions. I haven’t been back since and I haven’t had any issues. Nice people/facility but I’m not sure how well the equipment is being cleaned.

Zero service at this location and an overall terrible experience, all they wanted was my money. I was in late on a Saturday to pick out glasses (in their defense it was close to closing time). I picked out a frame fairly quickly and sat down with a staff member. After I called another FYI location to have my Rx sent over (apparently the systems aren't connected) she very helpfully took my name, phone number and insurance details with the promise to call me Monday to go over things and place the order. I was fine with this. Monday comes no phone call. I work a busy job & I wasn't able to chase them down I wasn't worried though because I hadn't actually confirmed the order. Thursday that week I get an email from my benefits company saying they approved a claim... after some investigating I discovered the glasses had actually been ordered (I should have known at this point how this was going to go). I phoned the following Saturday and a lovely girl took the time to apologize to me and was kind enough to let me know the lenses had already been cut and inform me of things like how much they cost. She also gave me the option to cancel, which I regret not doing but I like the frame and felt bad that the lab had put the time into cutting the lenses. She did say that she would let the other girl know that I was quite upset with the situation but no notes were added to the file. Fast forward almost a week and I get a text saying my glasses are ready (hmmm I guess they did have my number) so I stop in Saturday to pick them up. Hey at least I've got glasses it's my first pair in 20 years I'm kinda excited. I head in and wait for someone to help me out. Finally after she's done drinking her coffee & notices me she comes over & kindly brings my new glasses over to the reception desk and hands them to me. I tried them on and she asks how they feel. My response in her defense was probably uninformed (it's been 20 years). I said they didn't feel right. She adjusted the nose pads asked again to which I said still not right. She adjusted again (they still weren't right, no problem these things take time). When I said they still didn't feel right I was told "well they look good." I've worked in a eye clinic and this was the furthest from a proper fitting I think I've seen let alone experienced but I know when I've been dismissed. 20min later I'm driving down the road peeling off my brand-new glasses because they are hurting me and I've had enough and like heck I'm going back there. Here is my silver lining I stopped in at FYI Westgate purely out of frustration. The girls at this location are beyond AMAZING they took the time to do a proper fitting, they weren't dismissive, they didn't rush the process, and actually treated me like I was a person. It's a shame that I just about lumped them under the terrible experience that was the primary GP location. As a side note I waited a couple of days to post this just to make sure that I wasn't typing angry. The experience unfortunately really was that bad.

Stephanie Wold did an amazing g job helping me pick new glasses for a new prescription. Really spent time finding the right frames. She gave an honest and no pressure opinion. Really put me at ease. Thank you Stephanie!

I recently visited FYidoctors to get some help with reading my laptop and phone constantly for my work. Stephanie asked me some questions about my needs and then offered me a solution in a respectable and professional manner. She gave me options and ideas on how to improve and preserve my eyesight. Exceptional customer service and very empathetic staff! I’m three days out of eye surgery so my current glasses weren’t working for me. I was prepared to be struggling without glasses for the next two to three weeks. I couldn’t see without them and I couldn’t see with them. I came without appointment. And they took me right away! So thankful to Dr. Bayer for finding time for me. When I thought that it couldn’t get any better I met amazing Jessica and Jayme who helped me with my glasses. They made sure I got my glasses within an hour. I came very frustrated, lost, tearful after my surgery and left happy and blessed. FYI staff changed the quality of my life for the next few weeks and beyond. So thankful! P.S. I should also thank staff β€œbehind the scene” - those who manage to make my glasses so fast. Know that you are appreciated as well!
