We have had issues with Dr Folks treatment of both myself and my young daughter to the point that it almost cost our daughter her vision in one eye (thank goodness for the specialist we now see who has been able to make amazing progress in just 9 months compared to 2 years of getting worse with Dr Folk). Her prescriptions are consistently wrong (mine was so wrong she actually me as being farsighted when in fact I am nearsighted), she cant seem to diagnose astigmatisms (missed it in both my daughter and myself) and will try to upsell you on expensive progressives that you may not need!! The optical department is questionable, the last pair of glasses we ordered had to be redone twice because the first pair had the completely wrong prescription (which my 3 1/2 year old had to tell them they didn’t check it) and the second time because they came scratched. Took 6 weeks to finally get them and no apology. If you want someone that will actually listen and take care of your family’s vision, stay far away from FYI and Dr Folk.

We went to FYI in Osoyoos and everyone was UNinterested in helping her they almost seemed like we were bothering them! I couldn't believe it! We found out there was another optical place in Osoyoos called "Grapevine Optical" and they were AMAZING!!! they helped her and took only like 2 minutes!!! They have out of this world sunglasses selection from Maui Jims to Oakleys and RayBans!!! I will ONLY recommend Grapevine Optical to anyone needing optical services in Osoyoos! FYI you can learn a thing or two from Grapevine Optical as your customer service gets -10 from me!

Customer Service is horrible, they just want your money. I will never give them any money again, I will drive to other communities and not support this business ever again.

The other receptionist ruined the entire experience. If someone is unhappy or doesn’t enjoy their job or their life, it is not license to be rude, to be demeaning and belittling, or to just generally be unfriendly and unprofessional. You work in health in a town full of senior citizens and retirees - we don’t always catch things as quickly as we would have in our younger years. It does not mean that we are stupid or that we can’t recognize when our honest inquiries are met with an overtly snarky and dismissive tone. Please consider being a better team member to your exceptional colleagues and a better service provider to your customers.
