★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will encounter the first lookout after hiking for 25 minutes. It's a good place to watch the partial Hope city while taking a rest break. The actual Hope Lookout is 10x better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The First Lookout is a nice trail if you're looking for a quick hike. If you take your time, it's only about 25 minutes up and 15 minutes down. You can add on the Joan Greenwood loop to beef up the experience, or continue on to the Lookout. The view is a bit obscured by power lines but the scenery on the way up is spectacular. Lots of mossy branches and magical forest to enjoy. I especially like the uprooted tree that looks like a giant creature from the depths of the ocean.
