Travelodge by Wyndham Hope - Hope

Not clean. Dead bug on the bed. Stains everywhere. The place is incredibly noisy, you hear ever step and word said around you. Avoid.

Noisy place with very rude desk service in the morning. Very uncomfortable beds were you can feel the springs of the mattress. One of the beds had sheets that were all sandy like. The shower mat was filthy, moldy and stained. I took pictures. When we mentioned these to the front desk she couldn't care less, no even a look to acknowledge I was there talking.

Staff are unfriendly, and unapproachable. One side of the hotel is slanted. Miscommunication for truck parking results in disgruntled guests. Office closes at 9 and you cannot get into your room should you not have your key, the staff curse informing guests it is not their **** problem.

Do you like bugs? Do you like unvacuumed floors? Do you like tobacco smoke filled hallways? Have we got the motel for you!!! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my years of travelling for work & I personally can not believe Wyndham allows them to remain under their umbrella of hotels as they seem to be the best & most reliable from my experiences. Coupled with this filthy hotel (unwashed dishes in the cupboard, A LOT of dead bugs under the phone, black mould in showers, top of white comforters on beds have turned brown from repeated usage without washing/bleaching, brown & disgusting water trays in fridges that drip all over your food) is an unparalleled hospitality team that will leave you feeling under valued & generally upset with every encounter you happen to have with them. Generally rude & miserable people that smoke indoors all day long. While staying at this fine establishment please do not forget to take advantage of the filthy pool & broken hot tub!! And hopefully you can drop by room 101 for the death curdling screams coming from the other side of the door!!! DO NOT AT ALL COSTS STAY HERE!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST: Absolutely disgusted in the behaviour of the management and the place itself, they are money hungry and that is all, they could care less about others. Do yourself a favor if you get stranded there, find yourself a better place to stay! They don't seem to have much compassion and understanding for travelers, especially ones with children who are stuck due to avalanches. If you do end up having to stay there like we did, they have little black ants in room so keep everything off the ground. The bathroom was questionable, there were hairs in the bath tub when we went to give our child a bath before bed. It is also very noisy, you can hear everything beside you and above you all night long, especially pipes dripping and they were the most expensive out of all the hotels in Hope. Pool was hot and had clumps of hair in it and hot tub was insanely hot, we couldn't go past our ankles. They came and knocked on our door at 1030 while our child was napping and told us we have a half hour to check out or we have to pay for another night. We asked them if we could get a bit of a late check out while he napped and they said no, so not being from hope and being stranded with a baby we had no choice but to pay for another night because we were unsure when the road would open again. Just our luck of course 3 hrs later the highway opened for a short period, so we pack up to leave and asked if we could get half our money back, she said no! Never have we seen such disgusting behaviour.

The front desk was not welcoming at all and always seemed grumpy. They leave the building at 9 p.m., so if you lock yourself out, good luck! If you lock yourself out and the front desk is still there, good luck too! Get ready to be scolded by the front desk! Some rooms have a kitchenette, some have only a fridge and microwave, and some only have a fridge. The smell of cigarettes will greet you when you walk into the hallway. However, the room and the washroom are relatively clean. It's close to the highway exit and the Mountainview Brewery. Too bad their rude and terrible service has to bring down their overall rating.

Unfortunately the only way to actually give a review is to give atleast one star.... The service is one of many reasons you shouldn't come here but honestly it's enough to be the only reason to never set foot in this place. They are rude, I walked in and was not greeted at all, walked up and said "hi how are you today!!" Very kind like and she said "good" all grumpy like. Unbelievably rude and inconsiderate front desk staff. Gross rooms that aren't really fit for occupying, stains, smells moldy, looks very run down and like there's no care on the up keep, no care really at all from the owners it seems. Who would want to stay somewhere where the owners don't care about the customer experience?... this is a question you need to ask yourself when considering even flirting with the idea of staying here because you have no other options. I don't want to ever come back here... I don't like that I have to stay here... that is all. Get me out of here!!

Check out is 11 and they came knocking on our door at 1030 while our baby was sleeping saying house keeping and told us we had 30 mins to check out or we need to pay for another night instantly. So we did because we felt like we had no choice, we asked them if we could at least have a bit of a late check out until our baby woke up and they shut us down instantly. Of course just our luck the highway opened back up at 2 and we packed up and got ready to leave so we could get home and asked them if we could get a partial refund and they shut us down. So disrespectful.
