★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When trying to make contact with your concierge at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Big Island I get their answering machine. Having an answering Machine on your Concierge Desk does not say "We want to be of Service!" Waiting for the message and then waiting for a call back is not what I would expect from a Fairmont Hotel! When trying to find an email for your corporate office it keeps getting referred back to your Home page....so rather than printing a letter and sending it to you because you seem to want to distance yourselves from the people that are supporting you, this is the method I must use. Contacting the Hotel itself leads to nowhere because they don't want to hear comments about the way they are "saving Money" You have cut the staff back so the answering machine is your way of "managing" phone calls. Service is what sets Hotels apart from each other, you have done a good job in this area. When you get the message "because of higher than normal call volume you may encounter longer than normal wait times" It should be "because we don't want to hire more staff, you will experience less service?"
