We were having trouble with our fireplace in that the pilot light was on but the fireplace would not light up so we decided to have it serviced. We were advised that a service call would cost $149 and that if the fireplace required any parts or work which could not be dealt with during the timing of a typical service call, there would be extra charges, which we found reasonable. Our technician, Daniel, was punctual, pleasant and following Covid protocols, which we appreciated. Daniel conducted a quick test on the fireplace and determined that the issue was the lack of sensitivity of the switch connected to the fireplace, which he also described as a typical problem. Daniel suggested changing the existing switch for a thermostat controlled switch and he indicated that he had one which he could install at the cost of $135. Though we have replaced basic switches for thermostat switches before, we thought there might be some specific protocols with replacing the switch of a fireplace so we indicated that was fine. To our surprise, the process Daniel went through was exactly the same as what we had done ourselves on previous occasions. Daniel changed the switch, cleaned our fireplace and was in and out of our door within 30 minutes at a cost of approximately $300. In Googling the thermostat later, I observed that it was approximately $40-50. I do not know if this type of pricing is normal for fireplace servicing but I definitely feel ripped off. If the call had taken over an hour, I could appreciate being charged extra for the time but, given that the entire call took 30 minutes, I am finding it hard to swallow a $135 price tag for an item that cost $50 at best, when the company was already being paid a $149 service call charge. Moral of the story: If you are having issues with your fireplace lighting up, grab a thermostat from a hardware store for $50 (with the understanding that you can return it for a full refund if the issue does not resolve itself), replace it either yourself (if you know what you're doing) or have a knowledgeable friend do it for you and possibly save yourself $250.

I initially wanted an inspection and general maintenance of my boiler but it turned into an emergency situation where it needed to be replaced. Daniel was able to fit me into his busy schedule quickly and so I wasn't without hot water for too long during the cold winter days. Daniel was very professional and it was evident he put in his best effort each visit. He takes the time to make sure you are satisfied with his work and if not, he makes sure he will be available to come back to modify his work until you are. Overall I am quite happy with his work and service, I would recommend him to others, and I will be happy to call him again if I need any further assistance with my boiler in the future. Thanks Daniel!

Daniel was super efficient. I called around to various places to have someone come and look at our fireplace. I came across Efficient Heating & AC and Daniel got back to me within minutes of texting the appointment number. Our fireplace did not work for 3 years. When we bought out house the home inspector said everything worked fine. Daniel fixed our fireplace in less than 10 minutes and did the repair at the same time. I would highly recommend this business and will be a repeat customer if we ever have any other maintenance/repairs needed!

Very skillful, knowledgeable and respectful. He came to fix our fireplace today, not only he diagnosed & fixed it in the blink of an eye, but also showed me how to do simple fixes if it happens again. Highly recommend him!

Daniel and his colleague did an excellent job replacing my hot water tank. I was concerned as another plumbing company had declined to do it due to the older Flowguard pipes that I have. Daniel was reassuring about their ability to handle it and really put my mind at ease. They came in and installed the new tank in under 90 minutes and it’s working great. I also appreciated being quoted a flat fee rather than an hourly rate. Happy to recommend these guys!

Unprofessional, late for appointment and they will fix one problem by charging way above market rate and break three new things. Daniel was our service tech and I would caution against using any service from them. Excuse me... it is not a fake review. You came at our place for the services and we ha ve payment receipt of the services.

Daniel saved us. Our broiler went on Christmas Day. We didn't have heat for 5 days during a cold snap and our old heating and plumbing company gave us the run around when we called their Emergency Line. Daniel stepped in and went beyond. He identified the problem immediately and fixed it efficiently. Happy to give him our business for now on and strongly recommend him!

We have used Daniel recently and he has done a fantastic job to fix what we needed but we have been trying to contact him again passed two weeks through phone and text with no response. We can't give invoice number because one wasn't issued type of deal. So for that I give a poor rating. Otherwise good work and very knowledgeable just inefficient in returning messages.
