★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot in South Edmonton Common for a quick bite to eat. This Edo Japan also serves sushi. The menu has lots of items. I like they have a bench by the cashier to sit and wait for your food while they are cooking. There is lots of parking out front too. A good soot of you are not looking for a restaurant. There are plenty of tables if you want to eat in too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad experience all around. I usually do Edo at Southgate or near Pete’s Drive In both are very good and fast. These guys are a joke. Took 10x longer to get the food ready. The order taker did not have good command of English and was hard to understand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a subpar Edo. Ask for the chili sauce, the fellow insisted that he pour it on my food. I'm like "no". Neither of us had gloves, why are his hands so much more sanitary than mine? During Covid mandates staff here often wouldn't cook with their masks on either, it's like, make up your mind. I feel Edo does this to save on condiment cost instead of anything sanitary. This location is also bizarrely slow the 8-9 times I've been here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I come here often and I actually used to work here lol, but today I came in and there were just 2 people ahead of me. Whoever was working on this day at this time, he seemed too rushed and messed up my order but I let it go and didn’t complain. My food was cold because it took ages… well like 15-20 minutes lol. Also, like why do fast food restaurants ask for a tip? I just don’t get what for.. they’re just cooking for you. Maybe if they do anything extra, I get it for deliveries but at Edo nah. Also, if you’re going to ask tips from customers, you better make sure that your service is consistently excellent. I would never tip a place before knowing the level of service I’m getting, unless I’m having food delivered to my place. I asked for a spoon for the soup and sauces; the guy at the till seemed like he didn’t care and was annoyed. Also, they usually bring the food to my table.. not that I’m expecting it but the guy didn’t bring it to me, that’s going back to the point of why give a tip, what for? Haha. Thank god I didn’t tip and never will at Fast Food Restaurants where they don’t have servers.
