My child went to this DriveTest location and the woman working the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. She was speaking under her breath mocking my child regarding a issue he was having. Another lady working there was extremely helpful and it was very much appreciated. My child was there to do their G exit road test. The test was scheduled for 1:40pm, we live 5mins from the DriveTest the kid didn’t get home until 4pm. It was like they intentionally make the kids nervous so they fail. There was another child there to write their G1 and the rude woman at the front yelled at him because of his mask and told him to go get another style mask or it was an automatic fail. My child went to get the mask the woman required for the kid so he could write the exam. Very Disappointing. Sorry I do not have names as I was not there.

The tester whose name I don't know was super friendly and kind. She was very professional and patient. Overall, this was a great testing center. The lady at the encounter was also really friendly. I would certainly recommend you taking your exam here as the people are really nice and friendly.

The waiting system worked really well, you input why you're there at a kiosk and it gives you a number. All the ladies behind the desk(s) were incredibly helpful to me. I'm in a rare situation getting a medical reinstatement after 6 years so the computer system wasn't making much sense, but they all stuck through and made it work in the end. It was a very pleasant experience actually.

This DriveTest centre has a local reputation for being trash. Paramedic students trying to get their F-class to drive ambulances get failed because they "Didn't check fan setting 1,2,3, and 4 all individually". And don't even think about submitting a medical form here. I've personally had the pleasure to sample many drivetest centers for getting G, M, F and other licenses, and have also had the worst experiences in Barrie.

Not sure why people have given low ratings but my experience was as good as 5 stars. My G was scheduled on July 12, 2021 at 8:52am. I reached early at 8am. The drivetest centre is open from 7:30am for in-person test and 8:30am for G1 and other administrative work. For people who have an appointment, stand on the right side queue and people who walk-in for G1 and admin work have to join the queue on left side. The CSR at the front door, Marnie, is amazing. She smiled and said that I am a bit early and asked me to wait. At 8:20am she invited me in and guided me on how to procure a token. There are 3 token dispensing machines for road tests. After taking a token, I waited in my car for 5 minutes and a wonderful instructor, Judy, came. She checked my car, sat in and we went for the test. She gave clear instructions during the test. She took me to the highway, made couple of lane changes, took a country road, went to a neighborhood, made a road side stop, 3 point turn, parallel parking and finally came back to Drive Test centre where I had to do a reverse parking. Ultimately, I passed. Pro Tip: Greet your instructor, have a small talk empathize about their workload. Ask for feedback/ points of improvement at the end.

I went to the center end of 2021, my M1 license (hence M2) got affected by the closures, ..etc. Lisa did her best to find a solution, reached out to colleagues and her supervisor as well, which was cooperative also. When Lisa informed me that unfortunately I have to repeat the process starting with the written test, she did it professionally but with sympathy! I observed how she deals with the customer before me, and while he was not understanding clear instructions, she was very patient and professionally repeated the needful. I felt encouraged to take the M1 test, and passed it with flying stars. Lisa gets 5 stars. The only reason for giving the place 4 stars is because of an unnecessary comment from one of the female employees there regarding my mask while taking the exam and because I were glasses it had to be few millimeters down!

After waiting for an hour and a half for an examiner to come out, I went inside, asked about the delay, and was told I was next in line. Half an hour later, a super friendly examiner came out and we got started. I later found out my name and place in line were dropped from the system, hmm... Very nice people examining and doing administrative work inside. Super supportive and cheerful. In-car instructions were clear and concise, and were given plenty of time in advance for me to change lanes, etc. Got plenty of feedback during and at the end of the 15-minute exam and even got some small talk along the way! ?

I passed my G1, G2 and G licenses here. Got lucky to have a professional examiner (Miss Judy), which made my G test comfortable all throughout. All staff have been nice. Finally my stress is over!
