Really fun time tonight. The atmosphere and vibes are pretty unique, with the drum and the grill-side/bar-style seating. You can order small skewer portions and try lots of different things, which is great. As far as drinks, they have a big sake selection and a fun β€œsake bomb” drink which is fun to do. Their cocktails were really sweet and good!

It was nice atmosphere Japanese Izakaya style but food was nothing special. Alcohol was good price, alcohol was a lot of kind they have. Personally I wonted more tasty food.

Seated at the bar on a Saturday night. Grungy environment befitting of this watering hole, some authenticity. Sake: Izumi x Dondon Beef. Seasoning: Teriyaki > Salt. Chirashi = small portion. Tuna nigiri: disappointing. Smokey hay butterfish sashimi: + recommend. Over fried and would avoid: Oysters < Karaage. Dondon roll: good but expensive. Pork oyster-mushroom: tasty. Red flag: witnessed server put his thumb into the iced soft drink and carry it off to some poor soul.

A long-standing izakaya in the Little Tokyo neighbourhood. It’s less loud than Kinka or Guu so it’s a better vibe for drinks and conversation. The food is decent though pricier as Japanese apps are. Skip the curry fries; a side size of fries topped with curry powder for $8. The sake is marked up quite a bit as well. But overall a fun experience.

Such a great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. The izakaya style works well with large groups and small. You can try out a bunch of smaller dishes and share them with your group or have a plate all to yourself! The best was the Chili Karaage and the DonDon-Style Pork Miso soup. The staff was super friendly and laid back. Highly recommend this place! ?

Food takes a Little longer to arrive given the place is kinda busy. The food is kinda cold already when it arrives on our table. Especially the desserts takes more longer. We ordered creme Brule , chocolate mochi takes even longer to arrived and ice cream sakekazu. Kinda overpriced.

Great place to have a drink. We visited a few weeks ago, when we got there it was quite empty but filled up quickly not long after. They have hanging plastic dividers to separate the long bench tables. We were a group of 3 but the tiny end we sat at was definitely a little tight; I'd say it's a comfortable space for 2 and a sit like it's photo day in elementary school for more than that. We also had a hard time getting our bills at the end because I think our server forgot about us, but it was busy so understandable. The food and drinks here are great, really good for sharing. One of my favourite drinks is the amaretto ginger, I highly recommend you try it if you like your drinks a little sweet.

The staff were so nice and they really made the experience great. The food is pretty good and priced well considering their location. We came as a group of 10 so we got our own room. Izakayas in general are best enjoyed in big groups of people so I'd say it's a pretty solid experience.
